My RH is usually around 40-45% and temps are 78-82. Consider the intensity of the your new LED lighting. They can taco leaves easily if too close to the canopy especially if coupled with a temperature increase. They might be getting too much of a sun tan :) The only optimal temp is the one your garden performs best at. If your girls respond best at 78 then run the temp at 78. Every garden is a little different and has different needs. Dialing in new LED's can be a little tricky. It took me a little tinkering to get everything in the sweet spot, but you'll get it. The learning journey is fun too just trying different things.
Thanks for the info.
I think I'll go back closer to my hps environment and start from there. (76F/50-55RH)
Too many new variables in the mix.

Even when I ran my HPS canopy temps were only 77-78F average due to the hoods.
Hopefully the plants won't notice it's Led lights and will just go on with business as usual... :)

Seems like the work never stops. Maybe one day I can just build my room and be done with these tents. But, politicians are assholes...

Since I'll be flowering in the 4x4 nowadays, I figured it was time for some exhaust.
2x- 6" active intake/exhaust pulling from the same lung room as the 4x8.

2-6" + 2-8" fans, 2-6" + 3-8" carbon filters for 2 tents.
F#ck the 5.0.

The plants seem to be fine with leaf temps up to 78F,
can't really prove it but i've noticed much less foxtailing when i dropped my temps down from mid 80's.

are you measuring actual leaf temps? i need one of those IR readers from harborfreight

Yeah I'm measuring leaf temp with an IR gun. @ most I see +2F on the leaves from ambient air temperature.

I'm thinking you're on the right path. 76F-78F air temp seems about right for my ladies.

Almost 2 weeks into the switch to Led and I think I'm finding my groove with it. The 4 new plants are looking pretty decent.

Flower tent- 76F/58RH below canopy, 78F/55RH @ the top of the tent.
Leaf temperature via IR gun...

It seems like a decently built little light.
The frame is powder coated, and if you're into fashion it matches a vivosun tent really well.
I can't really find much to complain about for a 100w Lm301b/uv/ir board for less than $65 except it doesn't fully shut off with the dimmer switch, but I use manual timers so no big deal to me.

Currently running about 300w out of the 470w that will run in this tent. After buy lights, ballasts and reflectors non stop for the last 2 years, I'm finally done. (Until diodes start to fry... )

Day 21 for this original glue so it was time for a trim.

I kept a half dozen cuttings of it and plan to take the best 4 for my upcoming flower run. I need to get some more hydroton cleaned up and should have the keepers in buckets in the next few days if any survive...

I wish the rest of the tent looked as good as these two do.

The Birthday Funk has some really impressive trichomes. I'm going to be looking into some more Rado seeds soon. The genetics are top shelf. I just hope the buzz is as nice as the plant looks.

Veg tent in minimalist mode. Less than 200w total for a light, fan and heat mat. 78-80F 62RH. Dome is 82F 100% RH.
It's so much nicer than a 600w air cooled MH + fans + 6" exhaust running 18hrs a day...

Girl scout cookies seed and Birthday Funk clone.

Original glue cuttings in 1.5" rockwool cubes and 2" net pots looking decent. I'll start to drop humidity over the next week and get them into their buckets before I get any root growth outside the pots.

I took a little more foliage off the Original glue in flower yesterday. It seems to be on the rebound now.

I'm running a straight 3g-2g-1g per gallon schedule with the Jack's along with 2ml/gal of Calimagic for both veg and flower now. I believe my issues have come from running to low of an EC in veg and then over compensating with too high of an EC in flower. Ec is now @ 1.6

Managed to break my Apera ph probe while checking some hydroton I had soaking. Shattered the glass probe on it. So I decided to give one of the Vivosun 4 in 1 EC/Ph tester a try. It should be here tomorrow.
20210504_170858.jpg
I have drops I'll use to compare the ph against and my apera ec tester so I can see how accurate it is. If it's all good it will be nice to have a single pen tester for under $50.

The leds are producing some really rock hard nugs in the flower tent.1/2 of it's filling out nicely now.

After reading some horrible reviews on that Vivosun tester, I decided to return it. I've wasted more than my fair share of money on shitty equipment.
Went with an Apera PH60. The EC60 has never let me down.

Now if I manage to break it at least the probe is replaceable.

I'm about at my wits end.
Starting to see new issues on the Original Glue in the flower tent after only 4 weeks from flip.

It always seems to follow the same pattern.
2 weeks in its purple stems. @ 4 weeks I get this on the bottom fan leaves...
20210506_190037.jpg
20210506_185826.jpg
Which progressively works it's way up into this by week 6-7...
20210506_185852.jpg20210506_185904.jpg20210506_190215.jpg
I'm firmly believing that I am seeing an overall deficiency due to too low of an EC. I'm not sure if I push the plants harder than most, but I just can't seem to get anything to work in the 1.5-1.8 ec range.

I made a fresh 30 gallon reservoir with 2ml Calimagic, and the full 3.6/2.4/1.2 Jack's recipe. Ec came out @ 2.14 with ph @ 5.7 with no adjustments.
I find my runoff sometimes measures around 6.2-6.4 so I'm going to start feeding @ around 5.6ph to allow more room for the upswing in the runoff.

I hope this works. I'm getting really tired of fighting with this hydroton system. If things don't change soon, I may just go back to soil...

you sure it's a deficiency? looks more like tip burn became nute lockout to me. especially since it looks like you have Ca and Mg issues. which i (think) is hard with 321

Looks like mag is being locked out...calmag is not the answer.

I considered that a possibility so I tried leaving a couple plants on my veg feed rez when I flipped them. I still ended up with the same issues once they get flipped.
It seems like no matter what I try this is constantly happening after the 12/12 switch.
I am thinking a low P issue maybe causing the C/Mg problem?

these are in your Smoke hempy buckets right?

when i was doing hempys and even now with dwc, i find that a random 12hr flush with plain water a few times during the grow helps. once right after stretch, once 1/2 way thru and then once more about 2 weeks from chop.

seems like it breaks up the salts, refreshes the plant, resets the plant, whatever you wanna call it but it helps.

do you see tip burn first usually? then it progresses into Mg or Ca defieciency?

Yes this is in my hempy buckets with just hydroton.

Normally the first sign is purpleing of the petioles with 1 week from flipping. Then the yellowing followed by burn.

I've gotten in the habit of flushing a couple times during flower due to the salt build too.
