material suggestions for vertical blind for humans but not for the sun

Hello,

To be a good neighbor, I want to reduce the visibility of my mini-garden.

My idea is to hang some material that is opaque and also good for gardening.

Searching for material only yielded shade canopies; products that claimed to block UV light. I think I am ok with all the UV my plants can get.

I am not sure what the name is, for the type of material that I need. Any recommendations?

The porch area is small with a rectangular frame made from 1/2" galvanized pipe rising above a waist-high rail. The pipe spans the length of the porch which is almost 12 feet long.

My plan is to affix a vertical blind to galvanized pipe that rises about 40 inches above the wall of the porch.

If I can find a "fitted size" of this material then that would be convenient.

If I do not find something ready-made, I will need to buy the fabric, cut and modify by adding grommets or something. Where would I find that stuff?

Alternative I had considered affixing a translucent greenhouse material. The fabric may be easier to work with.

As I am not an experienced builder or maker. any fabrication or craft tips from "The Makers" out there are very much appreciated. Links to any crafty/builder resources would be the bomb!

You can see through a bit but you can't see exactly what you're looking at, it's worth a look at.

Do you need something to still allow some light through? You can get greenhouse shade cloth in a variety of percentages.

I've never used this place but they sell custom sizes with a bunch of options. I'm looking at getting some to enclose part of my patio.

Yes, I was going to choose this company's 70% tan shade cloth. That woulda worked.

Your suggestion has motivated me to search harder.

I thought this was going to be my solution until I got to the company's order page and I was like, WTF is the 30 dollar just because fee?

And they also add this strange San Francisco charge although I do not live in or near that city.

I've been getting quotes on gothic high tunnels. plan to aim the exhausts at the farm behind me. searching RIU brought me here, although i realize this is an older post. shade screens can be from like 10%-90%, but the white 55% opaque sheet is appealing. and in addition to white (i.e., not clear), i was thinking i'd have grow produce around the periphery and have at least two long rows of cannabis (for starters, outside would be for flowering only; and the indoor setup would be for both veg and flower). instead of blackout screening over the whole structure, i'm thinking i'd construct pvc hoops over just the cannabis rows and drape blackout material over them.
