lol I meant something more for fish - but I was going to grow some plants in a 20 long XDi had an aquarium that i used to grow some mushrooms in... does that count?
I have 2, soon to be 3 Koi ponds where I live. What are the nutrients high in N P K? I used some pond slime to make a tea to see how it would work but dealing w/ tp shock so waiting for that to pass.I have a Aquarium with Koi , great tea every week for free with no brewing involved !
The fish are very fun imo. I love to watch them swim around and(iknow its childish) i like to mess with em a bit - they start chewing on my hand and it ticklesi had seen the post was falling down the board with no responses... so i thought i'd add my 2 cents! i've never really had any fish, but was thinking someday.
I love my freshwater aquariums but I really want to start a saltwater! Not enough space/money though as I know for a fact I would want to buy corals and a lot of them - my friend is the cheapest coral breeder/salesperson in california and I really like his stock. He has beautiful colorful corals. Here is a lovely thread with a saltwater emphasis and some great pics. cn

how long 'till they're big enough to eat?
Considering a very desirable breeding pair can hit close to 10K US the fillets probably won't be seen at wally world anytime soon.
I can totally see that. I bet it's a lot of work maintaining them. They are very stately & graceful - super calming to watch as they will literally follow you when you go past the aquarium.
Discus are absolutely high maintenance - a minimum of weekly 50% water changes & tank cleanings but being retired allows me to do this no prob.I can totally see that. I bet it's a lot of work maintaining them.
Before covid I would often go hang out at Ripley's Aquarium and watch the fish.
Are they salt water fish?Discus are absolutely high maintenance - a minimum of weekly 50% water changes & tank cleanings but being retired allows me to do this no prob.
Cool looking tank there - I'd love to see it in person.
