if one were lazy and had an abundance of buds from an outdoor grow, could you skimp on the trimming? or would there be too much plant matter to make it work properly?
im not going to do it as i have now discovered slow cold drying, leaving me plenty of tome to trim. it was just a thaught

I just finished up a 4x4 and left a portion of the lowers that are dry. Maybe around 3 ozs all together.. id like to try it again but this time without grinding my starter material

Yes, keep your buds whole , break them up to half dollar size if they're bigger than that. When you stir, the buds will break up on their own. It's already been said, but try to keep those heads intact. Even when you stir your buds/water/ice you want a gentle action.

Half dollar is huge for my nugs butt ill go ahead and listen and see what the outcome is..
The nugs ill us next are probably shake compared to that.. these lowers is what ima do tomorrow

Not dry sift bit dry ice...
i did it with trim from what I chopped...
I wasnt too impressed...

I pressed it and tried to see if it bubbled a bit to no avail.. i kept the puck anyways but figured it was trash..
I did keep the better one un pressed and now i juat kinda doubt myself.. shame really

Yes it works just fine. All of the lower stuff I just leave alone. Well, other than pulling any remaining large fans but they are pulled at harvest if any are left.
I keep the nice dense buds for smoking. Anything under chest level gets set aside for the hash washing machine. These tubs are full from just two plants. And I had five lol. The rest are in paper grocery bags, in plastic 55 gallon contractors bags
I need to get to work. I've only finished running one of them. And now it's time to start moving this years crop to the hoop house known as, "Parts Unknown!".

You can do way more washes than three. I would also use the 45um bag. You will thank yourself if you do.
