You can if you want. I used a root riot pod after I germinated the seed. After the roots started coming out of the root riot pod. I put the pod into a 50/50 mix of the two soils you have, happy frog and ocean forest. Then from there I transplanted one more time to a 5 gallon pot of all ocean forest. The ocean forest had enough nutrients in it to last about the fitst 3-4 weeks. I did not use any nutrients until my first week of bloom. I ised advance nutrients. This is where I ran into my issue... The AN's ph was really low and required me to add a ton of ph up. Which was a amistake and caused a lockout. I just picked up technaflora recipe for success for my next grow. I am also just thinking of trying out GH. I mean the results from AN seemed really good but compared to dosing amounts of other Nuts. It seems like AN might be a sinkhole for money. I switched to flower after 4 weeks in veg. I was really worried about running out of room. But that seems to be really strain dependent to. I could have went longer on the zkittlez and for the White Widow I would have been fine at probably 3 to 3.5 weeks of veg.
