Not exactly a sativa vs indica, both hybrids. The short one is a supposedly sativa heavy orange blossom that smells like tangerine peels and tastes as it smells. The taller 2 are a personal strain that grows faster than anything I have ever grown. Lol.
Both monster crop clones of flowered plants.

Taller 2 eat 3/4 gallon a day with barely a drop of run off. Shorter ones eat 3/4 gallon every 3 days or so.

I use fabric bags every grow. I dont think air pots would be much worse. But I have never used them tbh. When I have used solid pots in the past I always drilled holes into the sides of them as well.

I do know for a fact the solid pots will retain water longer which will be good for that 1 plant during super hot summer days.

Unfortunately for me it will mean majorly different watering schedules. But that's alright.

It’ll have to be a proper airpot not a cheap knockoff. I honestly don’t mind sending a few Bob over to cover the cost. PayPal works for me if u have it - just PM your details.

Secondly it’s super important to pot up correctly to avoid watering firing out the sides.

Start by potting up in a few inches at a time then using your fingers push an inch wall of soil into the sides and holes. The occasional tap works well to settle it.

Once they are established watering becomes much easier. If you have a dry top soil 10-20 stabs with a BBQ skewer works a treat.

Also if you water in stages it’s a helps a ton.

Last but not least the water that does come out the sides is only like 10% of what’s going in max.

If done wrongly airpots fail bad. Soil peals away from the sides of the pot and watering becomes a right pain in the ass

If you did 6 plants then you could do 3 with Mykos and 3 without, you might find the best combo of planter and Mykos.

I'm not quite sure what kind of experiment I want to go with this year. So I am asking the community for ideas.

One thought I had was 2 clones from the same plant. 1 grown with Fox farms trio while the other is grown organically with Dr earth and added mycorrhizae.

Another idea I had was ffof vs recipe 420 soil both done with Dr earth and clones.

All ideas welcome!

Fabric pot vs plastic pot. My money is on fabric pots, but they do need watering more.

I see that's already been suggested. I like the airpot, fabric, plastic test. That would be interesting, but ya more work for ya, lol.

Is there a reason you're only using 7.5 gal pots? Do you need to be able to move them?

I'd want them in as big a pot as possible outdoors. Or even straight in the ground.

You could do different sized pots too. 7.5, 15, and 30 or something. Build a Soil sent me this giant 65 gal one time that would be fun to use outside.

I like to keep my plants to a reasonable stature. It's easier to maintain them. However I use 10 gallon grow bags. I was just making sure this was the same thing because it is much less expensive than the one he had suggested.
