I don't think I can wait for the cybertruck it's still 2 years away. The Covid pandemic kinda re-shuffled my priorities for a while. If this years harvest goes well 'knock knock' I will pull the trigger on a Model y.
weren't you on the list and your name came up? i thought you chose not to. i'd rather have the truck anyway.

I thought it looked more like a el comino. So a car with a bed?
I liked El Camino's. They were functional carriers with a car-like ride. I have a mid-sized 4WD Jeep Comanche, basically a Cherokee with a 7 ft. bed. I don't know if anybody makes a pickup with an 8 ft. box, anymore. That's how I define "full size." Maybe just crew cabs for the U.S. Forest Service.

A friend of mine bought a fully loaded F250 with the diesel engine in it. 76,000 dollars worth of truck. I shook my head until I went for a ride in it.

He just recently retired. He bought that and a 21 foot RV. He and his wife and going to drive around the country, spending a week or however long they like wherever they happen to wind up.

That truck will get 24 mph on the highway whether it's pulling 16,000 pounds or dead empty. Doesn't matter on that diesel engine.

What's more, I was simply shocked at the ride. I've ridden in Cadillacs that didn't ride as good as that truck. It is the most amazing truck I have ever ridden in.

Would I spend that kind of money on one? If I had it and were in his position? Yes. In a heartbeat.

I currently own a F250 4x4 (long bed) that I bought new and am the only owner. It just hit 100,000 miles and still drives like new. it actually rides better with a load in the back. It has the best feature you can have on a truck.....the pink slip

Another thing that really impressed me: He's 6 feet tall. I'm 6 foot 1. I can sit in the back seat behind him and still stretch my legs out. It has SO MUCH room in it. Much more roomy than our Volvo S60's. I'd much rather take a road trip in it than our cars.
