No it's not normal for an autoflower to start flowering at a small size. I've yet to grow an autoflower that's been small.

it could totally be the strain, a lot of the faster strains (basically anything marketed as 60 days) tend to be pretty small when they flower..... that's what id guess. your girls look healthy and like they have room to stretch so I think the most likely culprit is genetics.... or... did u transplant them at any point?

Stressors can move an auto forward ... each runs on their own terms , even from same stock.
Ive grown more than I care to count .... some with throw sex / preflower early on its own , one chimed in at day 21 of germ .
Many auto offerings are still first gen .... a few breeders will work the strain , but most auto flowering seeds are a crap shoot as stated.

Your topped one will slow a little but as long as it doesn’t stall , it will grow. A lot of autoflower seeds can push different phenos , structures , feed requirements , etc....... breeder estimates should also be taken with a grain of salt.

hell, I had one of the Mephisto cannaxcheese throw pistils at 14 days. :hump: I have no problems with fast flowering autos, in fact, that's exactly what I want them to do, but I understand everyone grows them for different reasons.

Yes sir! The difference in phenos amongst some seed providers is pretty poor. Then others you cannot believe how consistent they are.

Even flowering times within a strain can vary big time.

Not from my experience which is why you here so many folks talking about transplanting
If not done with kid gloves it really can induce flower thru stress
I've never had an auto start flowering from doing a transplant. Granted I've only grown 8 autos, but 0/8 flowered from transplanting. All 8 turned out to be large plants, not a sickly looking stick like 80% of the autos you see posted on here.

Edward Scissorhands transplants. I'm not quite sure how people are so rough with a transplant...

Prep a new pot with medium. Leave a hole in the middle large enough for the rootball. Pop the plant out of the old container. Place it in the hole. Done. Where is the opportunity arise to mangle that?

I have actually seen people try and dig a plant out of a pot as opposed to grab the stalk and tapping the pot
They are animals
