Heart rate increase from procssing cannabis with bare hands

Yesterday, I processed about 400 grams of buds looking for seeds and I did not wear gloves.
My fingers were covered in lovely sticky stuff which I rolled into a little ball for future enjoyment.

Afterwards, my Garmin Venu watch told me that my resting heart rate was 90-93 bpm.
After about 2 hours, my heart rate dropped to 90
After about 5 hours it returned to normal.
My normal resting heart rate is 60-65.
I did not feel any high or any other effects.

Could this heart rate increase be the result of "stuff" getting into my blood through my fingers?

Has anyone else experienced this?

It absolutely will happen....think about how topicals work.

I can't believe I've never noticed this. I'll be trimming in a week or two, and I never wear gloves, I'll pay attention this time! I'm probably just too blazed when I trim ordinarily to notice any additional blazing lol.

I have begun to use edible hash caps

Pretty much extreamly concentrate hash, and concunt oil mixture, then put into capsules.

Take a few and you are baked for hours on end
Probably the healthiest way there is to consume cannabis

@VolimPicke I always wear gloves but my resting hr is generally 47bpm but I run everyday at least 4 miles. When I’m at home working with my plants I don’t wear gloves and ive never noticed an increase. I have a garmin Fenix6s. Garmin is one of my favorites.

The guy who taught me how to detail cars always said if it is on your skin it is in you. Speaking of gloves anyone else notice the prices lately. Before Covid I could get a case for $30-35, now a case is $80-115.
I buy my nitrile 7mils at Harbor Freight. They have gone up more than double the price, but HF is still the lowest price I find around here.

I just paid 20 for 100 nitrile gloves.

Think of the little kids who run around in the charas fields then get the resin scrapped off of them, they must be buzzing like little hummingbirds!

I highly doubt it. You need to decarb THC to activate it. When smoking or vaping, this is done during the heating process. With edibles again we need to cook the weed. Same goes for topicals; you heat the THC to activate it. That said, THC does increase heart rate. I've never noticed increased heart rate myself, but I adopted the practice of wearing gloves a long long time ago.

This exactly. I dont trim with gloves but by the time I get to trimming I've already smoked 5xs. I feel nothing different lol.

I most likely won't ever get to testing this personally as I don't see myself waiting to smoke to find out.
