Need Help Identifying the Problem

So a little about my grow. I was determined to complete this grow without any sort of ventilation because the noise makes it hard for me to sleep. It was an experiment which I believe may have failed.

I transplanted healthy looking seedlings into three gallon fabric pots 8 days ago. The were doing very well you until two days ago. I began to see rust spots on one of my plants and fed it cal mag assuming it was calcium deficient.

By yesterday the leaves towards the bottom had become splotchy and purple and we're twisted and curled upwards. I noticed tiny black bugs around my pots which I think are fungus gnats.

I now think that might be the cause however the leaves look different then pictures I see online when I google fungal gnats symptoms.

The leaves are crispy and dry and smell like dried cannabis when I open the tent. I wonder if it's possible these symptoms might be from heat stress or possibly a combination of that and gnats.

I've attached some pics. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Its hard to tell exactly but that definitely seems like it maybe a combination of things. What type of soil is that? The lack of air flow or ventilation might have caused the water in the pot to be stagnant which could have caused gnats to come out of the woodworks and along with possible heat stress from the light causing the leaves to curl. Now overwatering or stagnant water in a pot can cause some really weird symptoms so its something to keep in mind. Hopefully me asking questions can help add a couple pieces to the puzzle.

Hi thanks. I'm using fox farm ocean forest. I transplanted into 3 gallon fabric pots 15 days from seed. I did water until runoff and the medium is taking almost a week to dry out. I probably should not have saturated the medium so early on as the plants are not big enough to soak up all that water.

I've only watered once since transplanting on the 15th.

What light are you using? How close to the canopy? What temps are you getting in the tent? Whats the humidity RH? Which calmag product did you use? How strong did you dose it? Are you checking the pH on the water and feeding?

I'm using a kingbrite 320 watt led. Temps are in low 80s humidity in high 70s.

yeah thats pretty high in the humidity. Thats definitely not good imo. A sign that not only you dont have good ventilation, but the pot is definitely not drying out correctly, or quickly.

How is the new growth? It looks like its only really the fan leaves that are curling like that. Doesnt seem like heat stress to me. I hope other more experienced growers might be able to help more. They are definitely going to need all of the specifics tho. Hopefully you have been keeping track of what you have been doing. At least a mental checklist.

Yeah that's the interesting. The newer growth is okay but whatever is happening is traveling from the base of plant upwards. Now the second to newest set of leaves are starting to curl and turn on blotchy.

Root rot will make leaves curl like that,or you fed them something they dont like.Get a fan open the tent drop the humidity and raise the light see if that helps.
