Growing in a Tent with No Ventilation...

+1 bigger fan than you need with a speed controller turned back, my dehumidifier and cloner both make more noise than my ventilation with said arrangement.

Personally I wouldn't even try without the right gear to succeed.

noise is just nature of the beast. you can do things like others mentioned like building a box. using dampeners and better fans. also wrap any exposed ducts in some insulation and cover with black garbage bag over it. helps keep noise down. also can get a silencer for the exhaust.
youre generally gona have some noise. you will get used to it eventually. i have 3 tents running sounds like a factory but its in the basment. its fuckin weird sounding quiet if i have everything off to clean or whatever im so used to the noise

Honestly i consider it the whole "labor of love" type of thing. I run lights off @ day and on @ night and i like open doors in my house so if i have to live on the sun inside an airport, thats what im gunna do. I think im gunna have to check out these infinity fans, sounds nice.

Literally the day after I posted this and now my once beautiful plants look like shit. I have insects as well as possible heat stress. My leaves are twisted crunchy and dry with big blotches all over them and their are tiny gnats flying everywhere. My little experiment clearly failed.

Dont give up! Ive pulled a few plants back from the dead. Lost three outta four to bad venting and spider mites but that fourth was one helluva plant. Take em out,get em freshened up and kill them buggies!

I just set up an AC Infinity filter, inline fan with controller, and 4''x4' Infinity tent. All seems decently good - and really good for the price point. Especially liking how clean it all set up with the tent and the mounting for controller displays on the outside. Also putting my EC and pH controller displays on the outside with the air temp/humidity and fan setting display all in one place for easy/quick spot checks is awesome.

I wasn't expecting too much for the tent itself but now that I have it set up and running - thinking it's probably the best tent I've owned so far. Definitely is for the price point.

Thank you for the support man I really appreciate it. When you say take them out and get them freshened up what exactly does that mean? I turned my clip fan on cuz I know they have trouble with wind and I put some apple cider vinegar and dish soap in a cup to try and drown them. Do you mean take them outside or something?

I use S&P TD-SILENT inline fans combined with insulated ducting. The clip-on fan in my tent is louder. Also have my filter on the outside, it works as a silencer and IMO filters smells better.

Not sure how far you are in to flower but the one i "freshened up" and was able to salvage i pulled from the tent and left it out, cleaned my entire tent (poles and all) with a mild bleach/water solution. Then checked soil for buggies and you can vacuum or use compressed air (very light pressure) ,then a full spray down of a various organic buggy spray, although i did finish outside. Im sure some will disagree but it worked for me.
These little bastards are pretty tough lol.

I got a softbox with a cfm of 1500m3 dimmed with a variAC on 60V . It makes no humming or noise at all and still moves lot of air. Skip cheap fan controllers and buy a Variac to do that for you! :)

Went and got two ac infinity cloudline intake fans. Thanks so much for the suggestion. Was sceptical that these could really be that much quieter than the ones I already had. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. They are soooo much more quiet.
