Growing in a Tent with No Ventilation...

...and was wondering if others have had success doing so.

The problem is my last run was so noisy I got 5 months of terrible sleep and I'm just not willing to go through that again.

I feel ya,ive done it on my last two grows but wouldnt recommend it. I grow in my laundry room now next to my bedroom and sometimes i wake up thinking i got a dam airport going on in there! (Hurricane one one tent inline on the other) As long as humidity doesnt get to high its possible but again, even a little air flow helps.

I guess it sort of depends on what sort of lights and ambient temps you are working with, but generally speaking no that a terrible idea. Not ideal, but if you can keep it below 90 or so I would assume you could pull it off. I would be pretty concerned about possible mold issues as well.

Buy a quieter fan or take a look at using a fan speed controller to turn yours down to run at a lower speed.

Yes! I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I feel like I have a highway in my living room

Get a bigger fan than you need and run it at a slower speed. But you might be able to get away without running a big fan that makes noise. Depends on how your grow is setup.

The AC Infinity fans use EC motors and are whisper quiet. Can barely hear it running at 1/2 speed a few feet away.

Ultimately, night time humidity is going to be the biggest issue. If that can't be controlled through fresh air, or venting, open door, etc. you'll be at risk for mold once flower time arrives

Yeah my humidity hit up to 85% at night and got no mold. Choose good genetics. Lots of airflow.

same as PURPLEB3RRYKUSH im growing with no extraction fans going, i also leav the door open and the air flow gets in by itself.
i have a fan for when i go over 250 watts as its just coming up to summer here and its going to get hot in there.
i baught a cool tube reflector to go in there , theis contains the heat within it quite a bit and i can jhave the light closer for better compact growth.
so if you can sleep with light in the room, jusy leave the tent open

+1 for the AC Infinity -Just got my AC Infinity 6 inch today and it is very quiet on midrange speeds, and really moves some air. With the controller 67 it opens up options like bluetooth control and logging , all sorts of really nice environmental triggers to set up a space, will take me a bit to dial it in but I am absolutely over the moon, fantastic units.

I have a feeling this grow is gonna cause me some issues. I'm growing photoperiods... I might have to get a fan which is gonna suck. Cuz I'll have to use an intake fan as well or else leave the flaps open which I will be scared to do because if I forget to close them I'm worried light will get in and the plants will hermie.
