How long will seedlings last with no food?

I’ve just gotten into growing and I’m doing both soil and coir right now.

I’m curious how many days of food seedlings start out with, like if you put a seed in coir and never gave nutes how long would it survive?

Coir doesn't hold on to nutes, which is why you need to start feeding from day 1 and never stop. There is some residual calcium nitrate in the coir from the buffering process, so they might last a couple of weeks, looking worse and worse. I feed everything as soon as they sprout, with just a mild nute solution, seaweed extract, and fulvic acid-starts things off right.

I have a couple in coir so they’ve been getting a seedling mix fertigation but I was curious at what point they run out of their own food so I would know I’m doing it right if they’re still growing.

I don't start feeding until I see the first 2 sets of true leaves.
