How much ac BTU's needed??

Just for the lights your looking at around 22k btus. Not considering anything else that's making heat

I run a shade under 5000w of mixed LED and HID in my 12x16 flower room. In the winter I pipe cold air in from outside. Why pay for AC in the winter when mother nature is cranking it out for free? In the summer I only require a 10,000BTU portable AC unit with exhaust duct ran to to the exterior. During summer it runs pretty much lights on to lights off with small 5-10 minute intervals of no operation. However, I'm removing two of my 1000's that cause most of the heat problem and I'm replacing them with two 660w qb's. After my upgrade I suspect I won't need the portable AC hardly at all.
Now your situation is different. You have all LED units, but you're also running about 1500w more than I am. And a co2 burner. How many burners on the co2 generator? That's important. 4 burner unit is gonna take more to cool than a 2 burner unit. How well sealed is the room? The burner will run more often if poorly sealed generating more heat. I'd be shocked though if you needed more than 15,000BTU. A mini split is ultimately the best solution, but at 6500w + a 4 burner co2 generator should be easily manageable. Those LED boards just don't generate the level of heat HID lights generate. If funds aren't an issue then go bigger. Then you can always expand plus you're not overworking the equipment.

LED. Without air conditioner the room would climb into the 90s.

Ok so I was right you’re not rocking anywhere near 1200 a light meaning that small ac unit is fine for your setup. I figured his based on actual wattage those 720’s pull.

yah unfortunately for you there’s most likely no return in that room and those lights put out more heat then they do light.

What lights would you use in my situation? Should I remain growing in 12x12 room or go into a tent? Space is good right?

I mean 5 plants in a 12x12 seems a bit big. But I'd run those roi 720's in your space each one will cover a 25 sqft area.

I'm using the large space because I can. Had the extra room and figured why not. I appreciate your advice and will look into it. Equipment cost isn't a concern or operating costs. I do want to achieve the best results with the space I have. I'm familiar with all of the different training techniques so now I just need to put the best lighting in place. And of course everyone has their own opinion on this.

To the OP
You need 4k AC for every 1k light that is air cooled and 6k AC for non cooled light. If it's 1k LED you may even get away with 3k AC. It depends on room size and how the room is vented or if it has Co2 also. Since you have Co2 and 6.5k of LED I would go with a 20k AC for overkill. You don't want to run the AC at max all the time or you will kill it fast so you get a bit stronger one.
