Nectar of the gods worth it?

So is the Spartan regiment fine or should I go the middle of the road with it? Any other nftg nutrients you guys have seen that make great results?
And furthermore let's face it guys there is a dimmenish of returns if you have to buy a million bottles. Are there any basic full organic lines that are budget friendly like the Spartan regiment of nftg?
Thanks guys!

The sample pack is all you need. I added Aphrodite’s extraction and tritons trawl for flower and got really good results for a long time.

Nowadays I run a ‘super soil’ and just supplement with Gaia, Herc, Aphro and tritons in flower.

water only all through veg and in early flower start with light Gaia and Herc feedings and slowly ramp up.

Nectar is good stuff and there’s a very informative thread here about it if you search for it.

Like Tlarss is saying, I've used it to supplement/push in conjunction with a super-soil grow. Just be sure to cut back on the numbers if you're using it as a supplemental.

I ran NFTG for about a year, everything from the Spartan to a modified Roman, and grew some really nice stuff. As my hobby grew so did the cost!
Some of the cons for me were cost, mixing time, and the crust. I forgot what it is but there is something in the Herculean Harvest that causes a crust to develop on the top of the soil that would not allow the soil to absorb the water/feed and would just run down the inside of the pot and right out the bottom.

I would have to go in a few times during the entire grow and scrape that layer up but it would just come back. If you watch some of their videos on YT they say to use SLF-100 and it will control the crust, that was not my experience. If I was running a plant or two I would use it again.

I would stay away from it at all costs-do yourself a favor and calculate how many of each bottles you will need for the # of plants you intend to grow. If you are growing at least 4 plants, you will spend several hundred dollars on NFTG bottles if you follow their chart. It's the most watered down organic nutrients on the market. Also, some of the products are high in heavy metals, for example, look up Bloom Khaos in the fertilizer heavy metal database: https://apps1.cdfa.ca.gov/fertilizerproducts/. Earth Juice is just as bad. Bio Bizz is the only common liquid organic fertilizer that is free of heavy metals, verified by that database. Canna organic is not bad, but has more than bio bizz. Unless you are just growing one plant, stay away from liquid organics, they are the worst for separating you from your hard earned cash. Good luck!

I would definitely favor dry amendments over any bottled nutes, I only use the NFTG to supplement as it's already broken down/digested. Last I was in the local hydro shop I noticed the Root Organics dry nutes that I was considering to try out eventually.

Bloom - https://www.aurorainnovations.com/terp-tea-bloom

Actually might order some in the next day or two after refreshing my own memory on the ingredients they are derived from.

Hi thanks for the insight. Do you have an opinion of Biothrive? I have tried it to supplement super soil grows.

I looked at NFTGs long time ago and could not believe the low numbers on their bottles...and the high prices.

I'll post a few of my favorite threads on organics and no till, just because I always feel bad trashing something and then not giving an alternative.
mother no till thread with MOFO and Cootz, worth it to read through at your leisure, great info and stories: https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/no-till-gardening-revisited.1400505/
"LC's mix" a simpler organic mix that still works, good for newbies: https://www.icmag.com/forum/marijuana-growing/organic-soil/48694-organics-for-beginners?t=53792
a good collection of organic recipes: https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/all-organic-recipes-and-notes-compilation.1421024/

As someone new to organics, an easy way to get started would be to mix some basic soil, like LC's mix, or a simplified Cootz mix without all the rock dusts, just the sphagnum, perlite/pumice, compost/ewc, and the oyster shells and gypsum, then topdress with a good all in one organic fertilizer, like a 4-4-4 or Espoma tomato tone. Then if you want to get into no till, you can just use that same soil as a base and add to it.

Gaia is a great all purpose in flower if you run into a problem and want to fix it quick. I use 4 bottles from them and notice the difference...I think lol

You can smell in the finished flower when something was grown with Nectar nutes... always the same nute smell in the background across multiple strains from a few skilled growers I know who use it. Not for me.

Been using nectar for a long while…… hit me up with any questions …
Bubba, cool to offer your experience with Nectar for the Gods products - here’s a question for ya. I have some plants that are showing signs of calcium deficiency. I have been using Herculean Harvest bone meal at the amount recommended on the bottle of 2 tbsp/gal to address this. The various feeding schedules on their website call for up to 60ml/gal - this equates to 4 tbsp/gal.
Have you found the “sweet spot” for this additive? I’m growing in a mix of FF soils and Big Roots, feeding them twice a week at 50% of the FF schedule, and the plants are in the 3rd week of flowering.

Thanks,

Mitch
