yep, just carry on regardless, it wont harm your grow at all.
its only when as plsant has repeated light iregularities during flowering that causes the trouble. i had a friend once who lost most of a grow to hermies. he had been turning the light on manuly, no timer switch for 12 hours at a time, but at no set time,

are you useing a timer or switching manuly

Hi, sorry to jump in like this but as a newbie I have a question regarding light schedule. Namely, I have this plant that I am trying to grow and eventually make flower but I am keeping it in a greenhouse in my house where it gets both natural and artificial light. My concern is how to switch it to 12/12 hour lighting and make it flower since now the days start to grow longer... So I had this idea to cover it with a box or smth after dark and to uncover it after 12 hours... Do you think that will work or I am being stupid? Thank in advance.

if you have a box large enough and something dark to cover it with, then yes you can do that. but you have to be carefull that it is in the dark during those 12 hours

You may have problems without proper air circulation...im not sure how you'd provide that without light interference..its not stupid, its creative but it will take more than a box to do it properly. Imo.

LOL, I actually though about that too and maybe would use a dark cloth... Make some construction and cover it with a cloth... Or The other option is just to chuck it in our garage where is constantly dark and take it out every day... Though in that case I am concerned that neighbours may see it... Should have bought autoflowering one... But... You live you learn...

Id say if your on a budget , then an thick black cloth of sorts hung from wherever is convenient would.do great. Just enough space between floor and bucket to give it air, sounds like it may just work. Keep those mental wheels turning brother. Let us know how it goes.

When she gets big moving her around like that your probably going to break something or piss her off, just buy some thick black trash bags and put in window. I use a tarp in my guest room window now our growroom lol and it’s a big ass window not a drop of light coming in

I have a Titan Controls timer I didn’t realize had a “random” setting (yeah- didn’t read instructions!). Fixed early and is fine now.

Yeah, though about letting some air from below... I guess I was so excited to plant this girl that I didn't do my research... My friend says she will flower eventually either way, even if I do not give her 12 hours of dark... But I will see when we get there... BTW I'm a "sista" LOL

That is a good idea if I move her to some smaller room. But will have to see how big she will grow. If she stays small I might just make some "contraption". If she grows big I will have to move her to some room. I though moving her around constantly would not suit the plant. I know my flowers don't like it.

Well you want her to go big that’s the whole plan

I would actually like her to stay on the smaller side LOL... but to flower... The main reason being the fact it is illegal to grow in my country... And then, it is only for my personal use and I do not smoke a lot anymore. Also, almost non of my friends smoke so I don't really have anyone to share it with...

I'm curious...if your friend said it will flower anyway, do you have an auto flower?

If so, you wouldn't have to move it at all or really give it any darkness if thats your preference , some growers do it, some don't. Point is without darkness a plant will stay in veg and get bigger. This is how people make mother plants and use for.clones

No, it is not autoflower... Sadly... It is "Maroc" seed and as far as I understand she should finish her growing and flowering cycle in 7 - 8 weeks. However, being a complete newbie I did not pay attention to difference between autoflower and photoperiod plants... So now I am stuck with a plant I can't properly care for... I am curious to just let it be and see what happens. Maybe she flowers on her own. My friend (actually my mother-in-law) who grew them back im 80s said she would flower eventually and that I was just panicking. But then again, I have no idea what type of plant she grew back then... Some old school ganja I guess. I wonder how strict is this rule that is has to have 12 hours of darkness to flower...? BTW I went ahead and bought autoflower seeds too. LOL... Still, won't destroy the plant I have now... Thinking of conducting an experiment with her...
