Yeah. I get that. I guess i was just trying to avoid having to leave a window or something open. Its hot in Missouri in the summer. Im going to leave my patio door cracked and get another carbon filter and intake fan from ac infinity and mount it on a piece of wood and set it next to the door and suck in the fresh air. Can i shut the door for their sleep period to give them a cool of time of 15 degrees or so? And some co2? Or should i just leve the door open always?
What do you mean and some co2? Do you have a co2 tank or burner? And I’ve allways had best results when maintaining the temp and humidity as a constant, meaning whatever my target parameters are through the day is what I try and replicate through the night. Maintaining this constantly stops plants from feeling any shock from temperature or humidity fluctuations.

save yourself a few quid and buy a dedicated intake filter rather than buying a carbon scrubber, the reason we use carbon for the exhaust is to get rid of the smell the plants produce. The intake air should be fine after being filtered through a couple of panty hoes before hitting the plants in theory.

I sleep in the same room as my tent. But i have a fan and filter inside the tent. I guess i need another intake fan to pull fresh air in? I am going to leave a patio door cracked and when i yurn my intake fans on you can visibly see fresh air coming in. But i don't want dust and all that stuff getting in there. So i thinkbi should have a filter on the outside too. Right? Or no?

You don’t necessarily need an intake fan as the negative pressure created by the exhaust fan will draw air in from any source, just a duct will suffice. And yeah you should have a filter but you don’t need it to be a proper carbon filter like the one you would use on your exhaust. Search intake duct filter grow room. There’s loads of different types, some reminiscent of the air intake filter you’d see on a car.

I get the feeling you don’t want anything too elaborate in place for ventilation. If you’re willing to cut holes in drywall you can do all sorts. Here’s abit food for thought.

image.jpg

One is an exhaust duct, within the ceiling space is an acoustic fan a silencer and an inline carbon filter, connected together and ran to a bathroom. So the air exits a grow tent via duct that carries it to the fan filter and silencer and then through another 6 foot of ducting and then into the bathroom through the ceiling.

the other is an intake duct that supplies air to the tent, this duct goes from a vented tile on the roof, through a home made inline intake filter and down into the tent.

this Option really helps when you live in the spot you’re growing in. All your venthilation equipment is hidden away. Not having the fan and filter in your tent means you can add more equipment like a dehumidifier, co2 burner, more circulation fans etc. And you’re not left stepping over ducts and intake fans in your bedroom.

sorry I cudnt get back to u yesterday I had this horrible 24h bug

I had it all mounted on the wall outside of the tent. It looked sweet. But i didn't like that the carbon filter liner went on the inside of the filter. Didnt feel lije i was going to be using it to its full capacity so i put it back in the tent.
Will my ebb and flow 50 gallon reservoir make enough humidity. I am going to put a heater in it and keep it at about 75°. Im also covering the grow tray with white/black poly.
Also. My light is about 43inchesx42inches....640w grow station.

Yeah I don’t like using the filter like that either mate, not a standard one ended one anyways, I would only use an inline filter in this situation.

I’ll let you in on a little test u can do before plants go in to get a rough idea of your humidity. Set up the system exactly as you plan to run it with plants in. In place of plants use bath towels, water as you would in order to feed the plants. The towels will hold water when you irrigate and release it into the air theoughout the day. Using your hygrometer and checking it regularly (I reccomend one that records the min and max parameters over 24h) you will get an idea of how much rh you’re going to have when the room has plants in.

hope this makes sense. I use both a dehumidifier and humidifier ran off a hygrostat controller. This is best practise when you want to keep parameters as stable as possible.

What do you keep your humidity at?

Save your money on CO2. In any method of delivery. Huge waste in your case.

Well, a nice spot for humidity is between 40%-60% (even at flower). Some say it could stay up to 80% at early veg;
But you don't want all that humidity when you have flowers, to avoid mold.

I ran my tent for about 24 hours. Lights. Flooding the table every 4 hours. My humidity never really gets much over 40%. But thats with no plants. And no heater in my 50 gal nute reservoir. And my temp is around 65°. Bit i am hoping it will get warmer than that when i am suckung that air in from outside.

So you are running some type of hydro system? I can't comment much on that...
About the seeds you asked, I've bought my first some days ago on seedsman (uk), price is nice but I don't know about the seed quality, I mean, shouldn't be bad . They have lots of strains too.
There's Crop King seeds at Canada, they have nice reviews.

So how do i get fresh air? Carbon filter on an intake fan?
I use an ac buddy and my plants love it I just have it set to turn on every so often I have an intake hose connected to it so they get cooled when needed and get air... I would thinks it’s fresh it gets pulled from outside lol. But i would recommend a mesh fabric bag or something to put over the intake to prevent bugs you don’t necessarily need another carbon filter that is more for the smell coming out of your tent.
I would love to run my duct work to the window. But i live in a condo. Like an apartment. Its legal for me to grow. But people will ask questions. Can i run my bathroom exaust fan backwards and suck clean air in from outside?
like I said if you have an ac entrance or wall mounted one I’m sure the plants would appreciate it. If you are worried about low levels of co2 you can get a 365 breathe bag or spend the big bucks on co2 canisters for slow release.

Ebb and flow. Flood and drain table. North Atlantic seed company has good seeda and fast service .

I think i will just leave a patio door cracked open to create a suction in the room and just use another intake fan with some sort of screen over the port so bugs can't get in. That should really give me all the fresh air my plants need. Right? And maybe a humidifier and a dehumidifier with a controller. My ac infinity fans can both connect to the same controller and run both fans in conjunction. Then i will have an oscillating fan inside the tent.

You should be okay seeing how it is in your room like mine by breathing and talking that co2 ppm can get to levels perfect for flowering

Neptune was fast and easy if you are in the US.

I'm hoping that is a spare bedroom and you're not gonna be sleeping next to them. Granted they can use the CO2 but...
I sleep next to my plants lol. I used to not have the filter on when they didn’t smell as strong lemme tell you smelling that fresh every morning was the best!

My temp stays in the mid 60's. Will this be too cool? My nutrient reservoir is 50 gallons. I am going to put a heater in it and keep it at 75 degrees.

Keep the temp at canopy’s height 74 ish degrees and water can’t hold oxygen well past 75 so I recommend going to 68 with the water temperature! If you have a reservoir I recommend getting an aquarium bubbler so you pump the water with oxygen and it doesn’t have a chance to settle and disperse.

My led light produces barely any heat.i have my air in the house set on 72 and no matter what i do i can really only get it to go up to about 67 in my tent. That is with my intake fan on too. Maybe if i just keep the fan on low it won't cool the air down as its getting sucked thru the fan.
