Day 8th Flower...Too much Defoliation or not enough?

So my area was getting out of control...So I did a light defoliation...my question Did I go far enough? I've got plenty of airflow and I'll have no problems controlling my humidity...

defoliate only
1. the large fan leaves that does not get light-always remove these also try to remove small shoots that are at the bottom and no way they will develop large buds(lolipopping)
2. fan leaf that is blocking a prime bud - try first to tick them under the buds, if you cant just remove the fan leaf.

and always try to remove the leaves on stages, not all at once.

you have removed too many fan leaves that do not fall under any of the condition above, always remember leaves are the power generator for the plant unless its not getting light, by then plant waste energy on these leaves to maintain them.

so its not about how much you defoliate, its how smart you do it, hope this helps.

your plants will bounce back soon, but in my opinion i wouldn't defoliate as much as you did. might of been more selective.

Damnit....I always get an empty feeling in my stomach when I do something wrong....and right now I have that feeling....TY.....

exactly, just pick 1-3 leaves every day when needed. the bottom you can remove the leave with its shoot.

Well I'm not going to do any more defoliation I don't think...I'm just going to wait till I see some buds!

I would like to mention just five days later......Seems like Monday-Tuesday I wish I see some buds came true.....

I feel like it helped it..are you saying I slowed my development down? Because there's two schools of thought that I've been getting from people and articles on the internet. One that's for extreme defoliation and one that's against it. I think I see benefits to both sides and I'm trying to hybrid approach. Tucking what I can under the fence, and Cutting anything blocking growth I am particularly interested in. I'm going to be honest, I've noticed (And I don't have much to compare it against) that my particular setup the plants responded AMAZINGLY each time I defoliated. If you have time and check out my journal...I got roasted pretty good for some of the things I tried...But I think things are coming along OK. Are there any things you might add supplement-wise if you were at this stage?

exactly, just pick 1-3 leaves every day when needed. the bottom you can remove the leave with its shoot.

One can also pick off a shoot without plucking the leaf too. After awhile you can get pretty good with suckering stems while leaving the leaves there. Often I think the positive flowering response many newbies see when they defoliate is really just because they've also suckered, minimizing the number of lower buds that would otherwise suck up energy. If you want fewer big peaches rather than a thousand tiny unmarketable ones, you need to either thin the blossoms in spring or the young forming fruit themselves. Same with weed.

yes they do, specially while flowering, and as i told you they bounce back, specially if they are not Autos also.

at this stage you would care about the even cannopy more than the overall development of the plants. (its a balance)
your plants are good and buds will fatten up in the next 2 weeks, keep on doing what you doing.

also while flowering it would be harder to train the stems as they become woody and might snip easy - just be careful and do it with love.

It's gonna be fine, but personally I don't usually defoliate at all much during the fist two weeks after flipping to 12/12. I just kinda let them do their thing, and see which shoots end up dominant. Then after two weeks I start my pruning, and generally stop pruning at 3-weeks 12/12.
