Does new pistils mean you should wait?

Its about to hit week 11 with a random seed. I'm using a GE PAR 38 light bulb with a GE flood light for added light. It looks like it's almost finished but it's been throwing out new pistils for the last week or two. I bought a 20w led light and added it recently and there's even more white pistils. I'm thinking about waiting at least one more week. Does new pistils mean you should wait longer? Or should I chop Asap? The top buds have about 10-20% amber and the middle/bottom buds have maybe 5%.

The seed may have been a "Jaeger" strain since the buds resemble that. Another question, does color indicate ripeness? The top buds have turned a purple color, the middle buds are about 50/50 and the bottom ones are still green.

Same, this is what I found in my search, I'm only 1 grow old atm so, grain of salt yeah?
I bought usb microscope for cheap and I'm just watching trichomes on the flower itself.

" Nirvana bubblelicious in soil and mars600 with GH Flora series. I'm in week 8 of flower and new white pistils are showing up, some on the buds closest to the light (10" away) and some on the lower buds, but not all.
Trichomes are mostly cloudy with some clear and no amber. Temps are 20-25 celsius and Rh stays below 55%. Is this normal? Maybe light stress? I can't raise my light anymore so I think I'll just let it ride for a couple weeks.

Its not a problem just let it go a bit longer. A healthy flowering plant will keep throwing new pistils up until the end of its flowering cycle, the plant wants to maximize its chances of being pollinated by creating more surface area. This is the late flowering bud swell everyone talks about. Be happy, they're putting on more weight :)

I have not grown this strain myself so I can not say if it is normal for the strain, but I have had similar issues with some of my seedlings of Lavender by Soma.

Usually when a plant does that it's the start of the final 2 weeks the plant is thinking "fuck I'm not pollinated I need to do something quick",
So it shoots out a load of new hairs to try and get pollinated (it can also throw out a few nannas but as it's the last 1-2 weeks they will not be able to pollinate itself before you chop so if it happens don't be too worried as you are chopping soon. "

Thanks that's good advice. Just the info I wanted to hear to help ease my anxiety about this. I'm going to chop at the end of the week

I have been" going to chop " 3 weeks now... I might be impatient:) I am waiting for most of the clear trichomes to turn cloudy and not too many amber ones, I think at first amber ( not pistils ) trichomes down in the flower and I will start really second guessing myself. I have zero amber pistils aside atm.

Same here. I was going to cut it on the 8th of this month which would have been 8 weeks since I flipped the lights. My plant didn't stretch and threw out pistils 2-3 days after flipping the lights. At 6 weeks I had amber trichomes so I started thinking about cutting it. I asked advice and decided to wait. The 15th was the final date 9 weeks later but I noticed tons of new pistils. Two weeks later and these buds just keep getting fat. I know it's almost about that time. The nugs are getting so heavy they're weighing the branches down. It is a small plant though, i'm going to add some pics

What caused me to wait was hearing that the buds swell during the last two weeks of flower, this being my first grow i definitely didn't want to miss out on the most crucial part. I have another plant that was stunted or something, it just stopped growing for a while, perhaps your plant is experiencing some problem if the pistils aren't changing colors that seems kind of off.

Looks good, I'm thinking about going out and overfeeding mine atm:)
Thanks dude. I hope that works out. I used miraclegro all purpose and recently added rose and bloom that has better ratios. I think the rose and bloom might have helped but I can't say for sure.
