oooo mines is better then yours lmao....I don't think he wanted you to show him how awesome your shit is....your shit is badass by the way...i think he wanted to know if his was bushy.....Dawg your setup is sweet af...most people's grows aren't going to be a "bushy" as yours...I know mines ain't....

I'm angry cause i'm jealous.....straight hate running thru my blood!!!
LOL! I was more giving an example of how bushy he can let his plants get at different parts of the grow, but thanks :)

I've always end up with bushy plants, even going back to my 600w hps. White Widow is a bitch for me during veg! They get so dense and squat that its difficult clearing stuff out. I probably have my lights too close during early veg, out of habit.

You're 100% right. I did have wasted veg time, but this was not intentional. I had my lights set wrong for the first month and a half of its life without knowing. And the reasoning behind lollipopping for my particular setup, is poor lighting, and the fact I am manifolding. I'm aiming to divert all growth to the tops rather than under growth that will be shaded by the canopy. It's a sacrifice, but also not really considering you are boosting growth at the spots that matter rather than producing lower "larf".

But you also have to keep in mind, longer veg time = larger roots = faster nutrient absorption = larger buds. With growing cannabis, you get to pick and choose. Was it bad I vegged longer? Not necessarily since I am not under a time crunch or doing this professionally. I'm learning and working out the kinks, so I don't mind the extra time I took this time. I would rather add extra weeks to make up for mistakes than roll with the punches and get a bad final product I wasn't proud of due to impatience.
I'm new..but if you follow my grow...I treated my plant like a bonsai tree, weed grows on branches....so I got a lot of them bitches...Fim, bend, I used heavy paper clips to get everything even plus I had one plant that was 3 weeks in front of the other ones and was a Sativa, so I had to train her proper right away...I think I did that correctly and I'm hoping I'm at the right height where I get straight buds all the way to the dirt. I have no idea how she going to look in flower but she growing fast!.
I'm going to get the chance to taste hydro vs dirt same strain same everything else to really put the debate to bed. how much do you think you'll get per plant or what's your goal???

Bro, so with a bushy plant like I got, if I'm not worried about airflow or humidity....(I have an over-sized AC unit and dehumidifier so I wouldn't get bud rot easily) should I just let it grow up and defoil anything below the screen or since I'm already super low just don't worry about it....I got 50w LED per sq ft so I'm good there...lmk thanks

What you're talking about is the ambient air in the room, in regards to your AC and dehumidifier. Air circulation around and through the plants themselves is different, and you can easily end up with bud rot, mold and mildew. I have a small fan underneath my plants pointing upwards through the branches, to help with circulation in the dense parts.

No I literally have an AC blowing right there...I can drop the humidity down to 20...or 90....which is easy...just drop the temp 5 to 10 degrees real quick and the humidity shoots up....

So basically I run the air all day....first thing in the morning I run the AC and cool the tent...and my hydro water down to 65...then I let it creep up to 73-75 before lights out

I'm ready for you guys to hold my hand through my next grow...I got all my shenanigans out the way on this one... I'm hoping for 2 zips per plant average and then I'm gonna go for Gusto....join my thread...laugh at me through this current one and lets walk together for the next!!

What are you going to be growing in?

Keep it simple is the way to consistent successful crops.

A fine example I thought thanks for sharing, I was quite happy to see your work it's nice!

Here's an update for everyone. I did do a defoliation right before the flip. I pruned, lollipopped, and removed unnecessary fans. But the stretch was nuts! The stretch has basically just now finished and we are getting bud production now. We are now 3.5 weeks into flowering. I feel they may have stunted and delayed producing bud from stress before the flip. They are receiving plenty of bloom nutes. I will be ONLY tucking from now on, no more trimming.

Nutrients are down to a gallon each, I will be refeeding after work today and the buds should boom. Hopefully we can get a good yield off of this if I leave them be for the rest of their flowering stage. Wish me luck!

When those remaining fans start dropping and your plants start cannibalizing themselves you're gonna end up harvesting them earlier than you want to.
I'm all for pruning. Defoliation like that? Too much IMO.
Make sure you are spot on with your nutes. You won't be able to afford any issues.

well....ugh simple...half hydro-half dirt (gotta use up my fox farm..) but i'm going to get my rez outside of my tent...and possibly by a chiller...I haven't gotten to a harvest to know for sure if i like dirt or hydro better... but i'm stocked up on hydroguard/vodoo juice...AND foxfarm of...so i mean i can go either way here...
I'm starting my new clones in Rockwool.... I got a 2x4 grow tent for flower with 400w LED for 50watt per sq ft.. Probably gonna let them veg in my office area I'll get a LED and use a combination of sunlight and small LED till my tent flowers...

I'm going to keep everything, because the way I built my plant there will never be a time where any branch is less then half the length of the plant since the entire plant is only a foot high but 2 feet wide, I'm sure it'll keep a little taller but I built that shape before I put the screen over it so it's forced to grow wide anyway...Day 6

I was told by several people on here I should throw my shit away....

You shouldn't have your ac blowing right on your plants, and you shouldn't have it in the same small space as your plants. You should have it in the same room as the grow space, with intakes in the grow space that'll bring in the conditioned air.

Thanks for the info friends, I'll move my fans. I usually have one towards the bottom facing away from the buckets, and same for the top, but things have been moved around a ton and didn't realize that direct airflow could be bad. Next grow I'll go easier on the defoliation. I'll keep posting updates here so you can see the result of the choices I made.
