Lights good for veg?

honestly i was probably badly informed so long story short i bought a ts1000. Costed me 220$ cad and it was great for veg but then it wasn't enough for flower buds were airy (2x2) and so i bought a 600w hps for 160CAD$ dimmable with both mh and hps. Water consumption went up instantly and buds got better. Next grow was much more vigorous and better overall. Yes i could have spent another 220$ for another ts 1000 but i didn't want to pour more money into something that wasn't giving me the results i wanted. So no maybe not 1grand but it was a "facon de parler" to say that i think getting into it i think considering led is maybe not the best because what's gonna really make the difference is genetics and skills so i don't think it's worth spending more especially when starting out Maybe it's more worthy when you master the growing art.

Sorry for slow explanation i was studying.

Why did you insist on digging this hole?

First off, you're completely full of shit. You just did your first indoor grow several months ago, and you did so with vegetables, not weed.

Second, A TS 1000 is fully capable of flowering a 2x2 area, so it must have been your skill that was lacking. And you decided to instead run a 600 in a 2x2? LOL, okay. I think you really had a blurple and are now lying.

Third, not uh, really? You mean to tell me that an SE 600 outperforms a 150 watt fixture that doesn't even use 301 diodes??? I'm flabbergasted.

If you can't get a 150 watt LED to perform in a 2x2, then you lack genetics and/or skill. Which one is it?

So your comparing a 120w bottom bin led to a 600w barn light?

Having a quick look online, looks like the 3 lights cost close to $1000
Buying a 600w hps, hood, bulbs and all the electric for a hole year (6 crops) would cost less
Some people probably look at LEDs as more of a long-term investment. I think they'd save anybody money if they were able to keep the equipment working far enough down the line.

my veg grow has nothing to do with my experience with weed. I switched from growing weed indoors to growing vegetables mainly because my girlfriend didn't want to deal with it anymore. Please don't assume things you don't know I'm being 100% honest and I'm not disrespectful so you don't have to be.
Growing weed is easy and should be cheap. But some people are just ripping off others and it's just plain wrong.Theres a reason why they don't use LEDs in commercial greenhouses (ok yes they use them as a heat source sometimes)

And no i didn't use 600w in a 2x2 i dimmed it to 400w with 400w bulb for obvious reasons.

i invite you to check the grow journals i created in 2019. I am not the best grower and i will never claim to be but i can tell that it wasn't cutting it. To me it just doesn't makes sense that a 600w "barn light" costs less than a "botom bin" led. But then i am a full of shit liar for sharing my opinion/experience.

again. Leds are probably worth it when you have found a good strain and perfect feeding schedule/environment control to take advantage of their potential but i think that it is fair to say that it won't happen before a few years of growing experience.
