I tested it in 1ltr pots last night and this morning (1st run 1.0 come out 0.2 this morning 1.0 was 0.7ec)@Star Dog you still with us man? What size pots are.you in?
How often do you feed?I tested it in 1ltr pots last night and this morning (1st run 1.0 come out 0.2 this morning 1.0 was 0.7ec)
But I've seen low ec in various size pots when new or potting up with canna 0.3/0.4 would be the norm but it never amounted to any issues so it was ignored, however that didn't stop wondering why it was happening.
actually when i prepare Coco i add a tea and a half extra in Cal Mag, just for safety issues and ive had no probloms sinceCoco Coir Bricks - How to Prepare and Buffer Coco Coir - Coco For Cannabis
This tutorial covers the process of selecting, preparing & buffering coco coir. Includes perlite ratios & tips to make coco the best media for cannabiswww.cocoforcannabis.com
Read through this site and learn much.
It's only a tester off the brick it's not in use yet, I wanted to test the ec and check the structure of it to see how different it is to canna. How often do you feed?
I've a couple of questions if you don't mind. One last tidbit of info, if you're into organics...certified organic coco is NOT buffered. Just an FYI, since a lot of ppl are going organic these days. All buffered coco uses calcium nitrate afaik.
Yes you are feeding 1.0 EC feed to significant runoff and getting 0.2 EC. The coco is sucking out 0.8 EC of nutrients in seconds. Lol. Only you aren't feeding to enough runoff....The ec dropping appears to be a bit of a laugh to the inexperienced.
@MyBallzItch if you have something to add feel free, you're only displaying your ignorance, unless of course you know something I don't?
This will be interesting lol
Wow you've taken on board your making progress.Yes you are feeding 1.0 EC feed to significant runoff and getting 0.2 EC. The coco is sucking out 0.8 EC of nutrients in seconds. Lol. Only you aren't feeding to enough runoff....
You're a coco pro.
Never mind then, why bother to reply then ignore a simple question?I've a couple of questions if you don't mind.
Do you like the well sieved coco like canna or the more course coco full of fibre cheap kind?
Do you notice any difference between the different types in your crops?
I like canna but the course structure of the brick is appealing whether it makes much difference is yet to be seen?
What I read in the links suggests the course stuff is best but I doubt canna would be so popular if it wasn't a quality material, it's a bit confusing?
Doing the amount you do qualifies you as "expert" in my books I'd like hear your view.
A tester? Yep on my perpetual 2nd grow. I'm not the one asking how to prep a coco brick or measure runoff EC for no reason.Wow you've taken on board your making progress.
I did make it clear it was tester I can't help if you don't read it properly.
Eta your one of most irritating amateurs on this forum, Ffs your only on your 2nd grow but like to talk like you have experience, try stfu.
Congratulations. I hope switching from bagged coco to bricks fixes your growing errors.Sorry you're on ignore, your irritating amateur nature is to much for me.
Imagine that, putting enough runoff into the coco did it. Glad you figured that one out. GLIt might interest some of you to know that once the coco has been buffered twice with calmag the run off ec comes out at the same ec
I've never ever claimed to be anything other than another grower so cut it with the expert shite, so fucking childish.
^^^^^^I've browsed that cocoforcannabis site that so many always link to and have found that the information on it is not always accurate. The same thing with growweedeasy.
