Ok I may have asked this before. Basically I got 2 seeds from a dispensary. One was a photo, one an auto. The auto is on it's way to being done. If I put the photo into flower to coincide with end of the autos flower and harvest the auto nug by nug but leave some larf at the bottom untouched. Hold on run on sentence. Anyway will the unharvested larf produce pollen sacs and pollinate the other plant? And will the auto or photo gene be more dominant? Honestly I think this bud looks and smells great

You shouldn't chop any of that imo. You should prop it up with a stick or something so all the buds are up under the light. They have a couple weeks left. I would train that photo down for now til the auto is done.

It's getting hit sideways by 40000 luxes which I think is decent with the 15000 from the top. Will the unharvested buds produce pollen tho? Only reason I wanna do this is because they are sisters or some and the Gene's will be super stable or so I've read

No one can answer that question mate. Some strains will hermie under stress or old age and some won't. It depends on the skill of the breeder and the stability of the strain. It's not really the best way to create pollen. You are better off spraying on colloidal silver or STS to make fem pollen.

Cutting the top buds and leaving the lowers may not make it herm. It would try to grow seed if it was stressed to the point the genetics can’t handle it... but you won’t have enough time to harvest viable seed in a week or 2.. I don’t think you can anyways. Someone correct me if anything.

Yep seed takes a good 5 weeks from pollination at least

Is it too late for the flowering plant. I've read a little about that chemical stuff but I read it's usually applied right before flower. I was hoping to get pollen from the flowering plant as if my photo pollinated itself, wont those seeds be more prone to hermie genes as opposed to getting pollen from a separate plant that hermied?

I think any seed created with this method is a bit of a gamble. Deff no guarantee of fem seed. Could hermie or could be male too.

Oof ok I'll give a try anyway. I just transplanted the photo to its final container and flipping to flower after it settles. Hopefully I get a fuckton of these mystery seeds

Ya I feel you, but I was surprised by this bud. I expected autos to be slightly ok, but this bud smells fire and looks decent so I wouldnt mind some of these autos for spreading around town in secret locations

Ya true I'm still mapping out how I'm gonna use the sun this summer. I feel bringing tarps around would look sus. I could research the sun cycle of my area to know when to plant to achieve outdoor 12/12 yield. It's a tad overwhelming but I am pretty stuck on getting that free sunlight

I get why people like them. My season here in the CO mountains is crazy short for a photo outdoors. But I just see them fucking up the Cannabis Gene Pool over time.
