I've just got one going into the tank from one of the empty pods and covered it with some duct tape.how did you set up your airstones?
Yeah, I've been kicking around the idea of getting a HPS to finish the bloom with. I've got some cash tied up in what I have at this point so I wonder if it would be worth the additional $$$ 4oz sounds awesome though.man i gotta give you credit. when i went threw the aerogarden stage i fucked my plants all up but then i went to dirt and brought her back to life, got n HPS system and got 4.25 ounces. check out "my first true grow" if you want,.... lots of harvest pics in the end.
invest in a 400 watt HPS from HTGsupply.com. i got the cheapo 100.00 400watt HPS and they sent me the 200.00 floralux system. they do it to everybody that has ordered from them on this forum. some people has had there order fucked up but i couldnt have been happier.
the 400 watt system dont get super hot like higher wattage systems all i did was kept a fan blowing on the plant and light during the light hours and it stayed about 75-80*F. in a smaller sized closet. worked awesome and i had great results. stick with the 6500K CFL's during Veg. you can also get a playstation 2 power cord to hook up to the aerogarden light so you can put your own timer on it and take it as high as you want.
The AG nutes self PH the water for you. If you go that route no worries about PH'ing the water. I would error on the side of caution with the AG nutes. You might break one in half and use that for the first few weeks. I got my nutrients from a local grow store. I told them I'm growing tomatoes (most like pot) and asked what they recommended. I'm also using a very little bit of Superthrive. I did AG nutes for the veg stage and switched once I was in flower. The AG nutrients are OK and some folks have had great luck with them. I wanted to switch so that I could learn more about growing. Good luck!where did you get your nutrients from? also when do u think i should start using nutes? tomoro will be a week the sprouts have been in the aerogarden. also what are you doing about ph?
About $350. In retrospect this is WAY too much but It's been a good learning experience. I'll post more pictures soon.impressive, how much did your set up cost?
let us know how it turns out.
cheers.
I would error on the side of caution when it comes to nutrients. I'm still a newbie so I'm not sure if you should flush. I would give it a go and if they start to look bad, flush and run just water for another week. Let's see your grow journal.yea i care about the plants way to much lol....i dunno how they are reacting to the nute yet it seems like they may be starting root burn, but i dunno cuz just the very tip of the root on some of them is changing a little bit of color. do u think i should flush because i was kind of skeptical in adding nutes last night since the plants are only a wk old
It's not a bad setup. I think 1 - 3 plants would be fine if you keep an eye on the water levels. The CFLs need to be augmented and I would replace the nutrients but if space is a concern, you could do worse.im really liking this machine, ive read alot on the forums of people saying theirs not enough room for roots in the reservoirs. it seems like there is to me. i think u could do 1 to 3 plants in there consistantly of a a squaty indicas....ill be ordering the deluxe on monday. I have a closet setup i use and it takes me a hell of a lot longer then 3 weeks to veg lol
