I've had good results with topping and defoliating big auto's (3-4+') and I don't like lst because I don't want buds growing so close to the wet soil. Just one of those things though there are plenty of grow journals proving lst works well with auto's.I’ve had best luck not topping or lollipoping autos. Just tie them down and spread the branches out with lst.
They live a short life and don’t need to be healing cuts or defoliation. Just takes away energy from everything else it wants to do
Hay I'm not questioning your opinion at all. But at what stage of the auto seedlings growth do you top? As I'm trying to learn autoflower plants. I only on my first auto now. But many photo period grow before. Just curious?Don't buy into the BS. Top them girls just like you do photos. They bounce back just fine and i couldn't imagine not topping mine.
I wouldn’t. I’d super crop the tall stalks and get an even canopy. Makes those lowers fatter with more penetration. For auto's under 55w cob leds 6" above the top bud
When should I start lollipoping and how much should I take off? My plants are about 22" inches tall on day 40ish and have had the lowest branches removed.

Ok help me understand, granted I'm buzzed up. But I thought supercrop and any HST would inhibit and slow an autoflower down? No? Seriously, I asking! Sorry not trolling. Just trying to learn.I wouldn’t. I’d super crop the tall stalks and get an even canopy. Makes those lowers fatter with more penetration.
Should only set back the day or 2 it takes to strengthen back up. I did it to my Blueberry420 auto.Ok help me understand, granted I'm buzzed up. But I thought supercrop and any HST would inhibit and slow an autoflower down? No? Seriously, I asking! Sorry not trolling. Just trying to learn.
Day 18 to 21 a healthy auto usually has 4 full nodes to just slightly gro8ng the 5th. I cut the 5th off. Very few autos flower in less than 4 weeks and some larger go 6 to 7 weeks before flowering. Plenty of time to "recover" IF you believe in that.Hay I'm not questioning your opinion at all. But at what stage of the auto seedlings growth do you top? As I'm trying to learn autoflower plants. Yes they are autocobs. =) In flower I keep them as close as possible. For seedlings 20" away. Are those autocobs ? Looks like you are able to get away with running them super close. What sort of light schedule are you on ? Is that a male in the back ?
Very nice plants manHere's some pics for reference. This was my last run. 1st pic, she was doin real shitty because I couldn't dial in the feed. She wanted way more N than the dosage I gave.. so she was yellow as hell for a while... I caught on.. and in the end I couldn't tell I screwed up. I got 132g from her, and 83g between the 2 clones I took from her. Those are the clones I covered in my Mars Hydro thread.
2nd pic is close to harvest. The tallest top is the actual main top that I super cropped. I used the bamboo to hold her in place.

wow I'm rather blown away. Your plants seem to look just fine being run so hard with autocobs. I find I'm always needing to dial my autocobs back. I start my seedlings at 32" + and around 23-26" in flower. I thought for sure you were going to tell me you were running 18/6 and thats how you could run so much closer.. Anyway, sorry for derailing your original post, you set up just caught my eye and had to ask about it.Yes they are autocobs. =) In flower I keep them as close as possible. For seedlings 20" away.
Light Schedual 24/0
