I am too old to recall the terms correctly, but here goes.
The hairs (stigmas) on the bud look to be over 50% colored. (Time to look closer.)
The trichomes (thc balloons) seem to be over 50% cloudy. (Amber trichomes are over ripe and their caps easily fall off. If too many turn amber before harvest, the smoke is less potent. IMO)
I like to harvest when more than 50% of the hairs are colored and when more of the thc balloons are cloudy than clear colored.
All this is my opinion and may or may not be helpful. This topic can be touchy and I can only give old school opinions.
