Which rosin press?

I have a lot of kief,
I am in need of some info on a rosin press.
I have seen some presses around 400 bucks but they say it can press 5grams at a time..obviously I dont wanna have to cycle the thing 100 times. Ideally I would get a press that can do 1/2 to an oz per cycle and not break the wallet.
Any suggestions?

I got the 6 ton dabpress branded one when it was available on Amazon, I think it was like $400. I pretty regularly squish 10-14g of flower on it without any issue.

You gotta dry it at least. Once it's ready to be jarred, in my experience, you can press the buds. Before then it will produce a wet, runny mess that nobody likes to work with, and also generally hurt your yield.

I've never tried pressing trim directly, I'd recommend dry sift screens or bubble bags, and pressing the results into hash rosin.

40-50% relative humidity works best here. And hash is the preferred squishable here as well.

Iuse Arizona Press co bags. I use a variety of sizes. Leaning towards 120 microns.

I have not. You need a frame for that set up that can hande 24-40,000 PSI. Be very aware of that.

They have the caged ones also...supposedly a 1 year warranty. Seems cheap enough if they work good. A smaller more portable one would be nice though!!

Began with two non stick griddles and a good repurposed furnace thermostat with steel bar stock for weights. Even controlled temps and a low temps. 135F or so.

But your mini is good as I've heard. My biggest hurdle is only pulling 25-30% of quantity at start by weight. 12 cups buds into wash. 2-3 cups on good run of hash. then 10 grams into the press to get 2-4 in full melt.

This hobby gets pretty lengthy if not wanting to waste things. Use those pucks for decarbing and infusing. They hold plenty of goodies. Including the bags. Just more mess and labor. Equal if not superior oils and butters. And the full melts will get your attention. Even the errant green ones.

I am happy and supportive of all attempts to find a better way without corporate dictation of processes. Really cheap bastard if I know how it works. I am almost always straight parchment paper of late. I don't sell and I got this as a jar exchange just the other day.

P.S. Careful of pressure on shot glasses. I've shattered half my favorite set. Went to mold for less presses. No glass hazards. silicone cupcake pan and a large socket served me well with a floor jack and some scrap 4x4's to reach the door jambs in the garage. LOL.
