** As for our tax dollars hard at work in our school system, just give me cameras in ALL classrooms.
I agree with cameras on every point in our public buildings. And think it would be worthwhile to monitor them too. Shit and offsite monitoring people should also be monitored to make sure they are not fucking around.

And some baby oil too huh?
That is what I would worry about too, which is why people watching the live feeds to make sure that our schools are as safe as possible. Also helps with teaching if you can have more people watching our educators and you could even use those 'teachers' watching teachers to help pinpoint the kids who are struggling since they would be able to monitor their work in real time too.

Question....who is going to monitor the person monitoring the monitors?

says the pedo that wants to film under age children. lmao.
First, you list three possible scenarios for cause of TWood's accident, his race being half Asian being one possible cause. If that is not racist, I don't know what is I guess.....

Next, You attack me for wanting vid cameras in our public school classrooms. I clearly stated that we've had issues recently in our local schools, in regards to teachers and students' behaviors. These cameras will help identify issues by both teachers and students. Hold teachers accountable for their duties as educators and adult role models. And help identify students that cause problems or students that simply need more help/attention.

But you continual slanderous claims to deflect your racist behavior says a lot about you.....

As a parent, it is pretty asinine what fills you mind....and honestly not funny.

Having eyes on our schools watching some kid walking out to his car, popping his trunk and grabbing a gun might be something that would be nice for people to be watching for to give the school time to lockdown.

Welcome to a forum on the internet. If you feel like you are being attacked it is worth remembering that you have a ignore feature which helps you to not feel the need to respond to someone who may be trolling you.

Nice to meet you, hope you stick around (assuming you are a real person and not another in the endless line of paid sock puppet/catfish trolls that are attacking every forum across the internet.

Pretty sure it was either a joke, or mocking the impending comments from certain folks.

1. It is a school, you are literally placing children into a 'nanny state'.

2. I look at it from a analytics perspective. We need better information to do things better.

I could imagine a program set up to let the teacher know when a certain amount of students are starting to zone out and letting them know they need to switch it up, or possibly that it would be a better time to allow that class to exit and head to their next room. All based on the actual kids in the classroom in real time.

video surveillance is laughable. at the high school i went to, there are over 200 teachers and 3000 kids. and you want to do that across the whole country? sorry but that's not even a reasonable solution.

i guess my def of nanny state is different: constantly being watched is the nanny state i want to avoid. if you can't trust the teachers, then how can you trust some guy(s) watching a wall of video monitors every second of a school day. nope.

This should be part of the debate about what to do to make our schools safer. The image of what you describe is awful but I'm OK with it being ONE option for how to keep kids safe while at school. For the purposes of maintaining an open discussion where many alternatives are discussed, that is.

You don't think that this could easily be a parent like they do with younger kids?

Or just make it a paid position on a state/local level.

As for the nanny state thing, I disagree and don't think you should only look at it as 'not trusting teachers'.

Maybe a sports analogy would be better, you watch recordings ( I want to say 'watch tape', but not sure if there really is a thing anymore) to get better, to see things that are missed in real time. Sure it can be used in real time too, but that would only be a small part of it.

Yeah I defiantly am not informed enough to have a fully flushed out idea on this subject.

I may have gotten sucked into white knighting though now that I think about it.
