Ok so i built a grow box for my seedlings and cuttings. I just dont know what kind of light to use for them. I went to lowes today and bought two 22inch 120 volt t8 fluorescente plant grow lights. Would this be alright for them or should i get more or somthing different. Any suggestions or comments please. Thank you

I'm gonna use MH from seedling to flower (first grow not getting into cloning so not gonna make the room yet). I know some people make small clone boxes and use 2' floro's maybe get a cool and warm one.

hi there.
I'm no expert but if each light is 40watt. (just a guess) should be fine to get them going.Depending on how many you have.
You should be able to use your mh light pretty soon after that, just give them a chance to spread there first leaves.

When you turn on your mh just make sure there not to close to the top of the plants and you should be fine.

MH produce alot of heat so ventilation is IMPORTANT.

Read all you can about your strain and the basics of growing don't over complicate matters.
Good water ph,good soil, enough light and good ventilation and your on your way.

Nutes are a whole different world Again, don't over do things.

good luck.

someone has nicked my pc to write this this, lol.

I use three 125W CFL's to grow when vegging. They use way less energy than my flowering light, throw way less heat, and you can pretty much put them right on top of the plant without burning it. When it's time to flower I break out the big boy, a 1000W HPS light, and I take the three CFL's and surround the plant with them so the smaller side buds fatten up nicely.
