Yes i know, i was asking if any1 knew if this type of soil has nutes in it?
It may have a bit of natural phosphorus in it, but it's safe -no nutes to speak of. Many think FFOF has nutes but in reality the soil has no chemical nutes at all, just those that occur naturally in the soil mix.

i use FF ocean forest / light warrior at a rough 70/30 guess when i transplant, start seed or plant clone... all my plants show slight nute burn from shock of all the organic nutes caused by decomposition.. but they grow out of that quick and start booming once the roots break through shock and all the nice micros help roots grow :D

yea organic.... all Fox Farm soil mixes have ferts (Organic) Ferts... not need to add nutes up to 30 days

not true. I would say you might not need any for the first two weeks, but even that is pushing it. I have seen seedling do terrible for three weeks because of this myth. Thought they didnt need any nutes, and thought something else was wrong:( as sson as nitrogen was added they exploded. Once the second set of leaves start to form, give 1/4 strength nutes. This is atleast the case with Ocean Forest. I dont have any expirience with any of there other soils.

There are not as many nutrients in Fox Farm as people think/say there are.

That has been my experience as well. Right around 3 weeks like clockwork I start to see lightening of the leaves, which is a sure sign of a lack of N. Start at 2-3 weeks with 1/4.

i started seeds right into the soil after germ, 5" pot till 2 weeks veg under a 400w transplanted into a 1 gal and they exploded from the fresh materials in the OF/LW mix.. i do low dose feeding 1/4th dose of biobizz bio-grow and water with 1 1/2 gallons for my 1 gallon containers..

i also use fox farm peace of mind fruit & flower when i transplant into 3 gal 2 week before flower

i start seeds in small pot then transplant to a medium pot so they get a refreshing soil mix with fresh nutes for another month, then i low dose 1/4th..

sounds like everyone has their own similar method to the ocean forest haha

I just started using ocean forest for my new grow and I have tiger bloom, big bloom, and grow big.. Should I follow ff's feeding schedule? I've used 1/4 ammount of of suggested big bloom since germination and my sprouts are growing so fast 1.75" and 2" in 2 days...And when can I start foliar feeding and what ratio should I use? I also have heard to not ph the foliar mixture

I would wait until the 3rd or 4th nodes grow out on the plant before you nute. FF is great soil, and will provide everything that the plant needs naturally for the first few weeks until your confident that she can handle extra nutrients. Dont be so eager to feed them, or you will end up burning them for sure. Your good with the soil mix you have right now man, itll be just fine. I use FF Ocean Forest mixed with a little bit of Dolemite lime from start to finish with my plants. Even with the seedlings -- i just mix up an entire bag of soil with a little bit of perlite, and 3 tbsp of Dolemite lime per gallon of soil, and then i fill up my starter pots, and grow bags at the same time, so i can condition my growbag soil while the seed is starting out in the starter cups. But thats just me, even if you use just FF soil on its own, youll still be just fine man. Hang in there and your plants will recover from any signs of nutrient burn, i swear dude.

good luck man
