Anyone have any experience with the sf 7000. Thinking of getting one but skeptical because they moved away from Samsung diodes.
What size space are you trying to cover?Yeah I do like that feature I'm trying to decide between the SF 7000 or photontek 600w
It says Seoul on amazonWhat diodes are they using?
Just need one light per 4x4 areaWhat size space are you trying to cover?
They have some decent diodes. It would be nice to know which diodes they are using exactly. It says Seoul on amazon
I was looking at their site earlier and figured it was something in the 3030 range, but that still leaves it open to a bunch of possible diodes.https://www.amazon.com/Spider-Farmer-High-Output-Commercial-Detachable/dp/B08NV52CN7?ref_=ast_sto_dp

I would go with the photontek. The lumatek zeus pro is the same light, thats just their american branding but it gets great reviews.Just need one light per 4x4 area
Kinda funny the rep says a shortage of samsung/meanwell is the reasoning. Such bsI was looking at their site earlier and figured it was something in the 3030 range, but that still leaves it open to a bunch of possible diodes.
Are you in the states? And if so how long was your order delivery off alibaba? I’ve been wanting to order from them but hesitantI would go with the photontek. The lumatek zeus pro is the same light, thats just their american branding but it gets great reviews.
Have you considered buying through Alibaba? I have 4 Alibaba lights that are the same as spider farmer but half the price.
I'm in Europe and shipping usually around 2 weeks. I paid around €600 including shipping and customs fees for 2 sf2000s and 2 sf1000s. They have a lot of options for strip lights similiar to the photontek also. Are you in the states? And if so how long was your order delivery off alibaba? Is it tho? "Shortage" could also mean that the diodes are costing a lot more, so while they may be available it's at a steeper cost. I'd really like to know exactly which diode they are using to compare specs, but it does look like Seoul may have some diodes which are on PAR (pun intended) with Samsung LM301 diodes. The Investronics drivers they are using to replace the Meanwell drivers are totally acceptable IMO. HLG uses their drivers on some of their fixtures, and I recall @Stephenj37826 saying that they had a lower failure rate compared to Meanwell drivers as well. The one thing I'll say for SF, is that they seem to be the one knock-off LED board Amazon-type company, who does seem to consider quality parts in their fixtures. Not sure about the SF7000, but I wouldn't dismiss it immediately just based on lack of Meanwell and Samsung.Kinda funny the rep says a shortage of samsung/meanwell is the reasoning. Such bs
Were they those green viparspectra lights? Probz same green as the SF7000Agreed but shortage and cost are two different things. I know Vipar came out with a series last year after the XS which was the same issue with different components. So maybe this 7000 isn’t as new as we think and was built in that timeframe when the possible “cost/shortage” occurred. Who knows. It’s a nice light either way .
I think they were the V series, the P series was green too but they were before xsWere they those green viparspectra lights? Probz same green as the SF7000

Viparspectra still uses Samsung Diodes (LM281B+) in their lower level fixtures. Were they those green viparspectra lights? Probz same green as the SF7000
