Only positive in doing this is saving money on bills.I'm ready to chop this weekend, how many of you leave the plants in darkness for 48 hours before chop? Does it make a difference or is it Bro-science?
Pass me some tabs bro.Oh boy there is going to be a big fight here that goes on for pages, I can feel it. After years people are gonna come back and argue, I can feel it in my bones. Or maybe im still tripping well see
I think its bioscience tho, if there are any studies would like to see never tried it.
So no noticeable difference either way? I guess if it doesn't hurt the plant, and may save a little on electricity, its worth doing.Only positive in doing this is saving money on bills.
Go ahead. If you have 2 plants of the same strain or even better 2 clones of the same mother, try it with only one and your question will be answered for good. Good luck bro!So no noticeable difference either way? I guess if it doesn't hurt the plant, and may save a little on electricity, its worth doing.
Only have one!!! And its my first, feels like its been a year, will be the end of 13th week of flower, around 19 weeks totalGo ahead. If you have 2 plants of the same strain or even better 2 clones of the same mother, try it with only one and your question will be answered for good. Good luck bro!
Hahaha good job! Enjoy your time with herOnly have one!!! And its my first, feels like its been a year, will be the end of 13th week of flower, around 19 weeks total
Lmfao golden!!!I usually talk a lot of shit to it before cutting it down. I also make the others watch. That way they get so scared they increase thc in fear. Facts
Were you tripping balls like @shroomhaze too?Fifteen years ago my group of friends tried this after hearing about it. Over a year of growing alternating between doing it and not, we all felt the same, it was a benefit, we couldn't explain it, quantify it but we all felt the same. I've done it ever since. I suggest trying it for yourself and compare.
Only reason I even considered it to be possibly true is because of an article I read. Guy harvested the same plant in different stages, no darkness, 24 hours darkness, 48 hours darkness, and 72 hours darkness, and sent them off to a lab, and he found that the 24-48 hours of darkness were more potent than the samples with no darkness. He also said that more than 48 hours the potency actually drops, so 48 hours was the sweet spot. But was it really a noticeable difference while smoking it, or was it only detectable by lab resultsI don't think this idea even reaches the level of bro science, this is more like an old bro's tale.
I am going to give her a couple of days of darkness since I'm not chopping until this weekend, so I have the time to do it, and if it can't hurt, and possibly might help, then why not. on a serious note, i vaguely remember reading that the 48 hrs does not increase thc but it does reduce chlorophyll levels which ends up being a better and smoother smoke.I turn my lights off after vegging. absolute fire 9 weeks later.
Your electric bill must be awesome as well. Question, if you’re doing 9 weeks of darkness do you put it under light for 48 hours before chop? Really stress it. There’s so many possibilitiesI turn my lights off after vegging. absolute fire 9 weeks later.
