Walk in Closet of Loft Closet?

Hi,

Any advice/criticism would be very much appreciated. I just leased a top floor condo that has a loft. I am either going to set my tent up in the walk in closet in the master bedroom (and would easily be able to bring in fresh air directly from the central AC and I would exhaust directly into the existing bathroom exhaust) OR use a smaller closet that is located in an upstairs loft. The loft closet has no vents whatsoever. After going up in the attic, I saw that i could easily exhaust my air straight up into the ceiling of my condo and basically directly up and outside. I cannot decide which closet to use!!!! I have everything I need to get going, I just cannot decide for the life of me and it’s driving me crazy!! My main concern is odor. Is there a way to insulate a closet to prevent odors from leaking though the wall/floor?

Concerned with smells but you intend to vent thru duct work which inevitably will have breaks in the duct work allowing what your venting to escape into the walls.

Is this condo attached to others I guess is my question.

very good point... i have a few carbon filters laying around...

and also, there is probably twice the amount of air circulating in the bedroom closet than the loft closet

Use them yea lol. I'd personally re tape and puddy all corners in that closet, seal all corners where wall meets floor with silicone(not caulk) and paint white. This should help to ensure no smell makes it in the inside of the walls.

Either closet. You will want to seal it up. I'm not giving advise on which closet tbh. Just advising on fixing issues I see with either.

I suppose my original post had a few questions. About how much (%) will negative pressure, alone, prevent of the total odor? (a substantial amount?)

yes. it is attached to two other condos actually. extremely private for being a condominium though

yea, i have no idea where the ducting goes, once it is exhausted from my bathroom. I kinda just assumed that since it is bathroom exhaust vent that whoever did the duct work, probably made it the straightest way outside. Is size my friend or enemy when doing a tent grow? Because the walk in closet is about 9x9 and the loft closet is only about 6x7. Also, what is the best way to seal a door?

Once that closet is sealed the tent is redundant imo.

Oh I think I get it. So you intend to put the tent in a large enough closet where you can close that door, then open the tent to work on it to keep the smell in the closet? Is that correct?
