Not to mention the fact that they sell really nice stovetop espresso makers in Amsterdam. And when you ship them back home, it might be possible to replace the gasket with one made out of hash.Let's talk coffee.
French press is my preferred way.

I wore out a couple of presses that had plastic parts. My Frieling has been making strong black coffee for going on 20 years.
Also, dark roasted beans taste burnt to me. I prefer medium roast and the fresher the better. Store whole beans in a jar in the freezer. Grind just before using.
I have a lot of nice espresso pots in many sizes.
Sorry, I jumped the gun on this. Your french press looks like a nice moka pot. It's the only device I use. Works anywhere, a stove a campfire or a rest area thanks to my primus stove. They are the only thing I use now.
