Super Soil worth it?

Is it worth it? I grow using a supersoil mix and i love it. First batch i made was 10 gallons. i had to buy a ton of stuff to make that first 10 gallons. so yeah, it's expensive to get up and running. maybe not worth it if you're talking about dollars and cents.

I like the fact that i don't have to mess with my plants. just add water for the duration of the grow. To me, that's worth it.

Been making this switch, I have an auto tho that's already lime green and I'm still 4 weeks from harvest probably. It's in 5 gal if re amended new roots soil I cooked it. Do teas weekly , foliar too, and too dressed.

I do have actual soil I built with compost, ewc, lava rock, pete, afalfa, kelp, crab. Bone, langbeinite, humic, , dolo lime. Just put a maui plant into it in a 3 gal and started mainlining (just been 30 days).

Any suggestions .. weekly too dress with amendment hi in N?

In this case i would get a pot that fits all around the tent. Then its worth it, it should be 15 gals at least perfect for living soil. You ll be filing up the tent in no time with some lst

I'm not looking to do 15 gal plants or giant totes. I constantly have different strains running between autos and photos and clones. I have no problem top dressing weekly to push more N to my girls in 5 gals. I really don't want to grow 1 or 2 plants at s time. I build up tolerance to quick to smoke 2 strain all year.

For everyone to say you cannt do living org in smaller pots seems ridiculous to say as long as plant is being fed constantly I'd presume by top dress t least and the soil is active. I'm not in layered soil pots are filled with my mix that's it.

I don't have issues in veg, I have a 2 mo old clone in 2gal water only and she's been blowing up, no deficiencies on any of my veg plants. I literally only have the N issue far as I can see.

Can I load my soil mix more initially with higher N?

Has to be a way around this other than everyone simply saying no you need 15gal or more per plant.

Not per plant. 15 gals is a solid base for play. You can have 5 autos in there like this. Maybe even 4 photoperiods. Minimal veg.

Pass for now, guess I'll just figure it out since everyone's answer is the same that it's not possible in less than 15 gal. I'll start dressing weekly and see what happens .

Just talking bout the optimum here.
It is possible, ive done it with 3 gal pots. Minimum veg though.

Last run I took 2 same clones,transplant into 2 gallon.One went into flower the other veg.3 weeks later veg one was growing fine flower one started yellowing at the bottom and quickly moved up.I had to give it some bottle food as the top dress did nothing.
I can only assume the stretch used up what was in there in a hurry.
Im new also to this organic thing.My soil seems to have plenty for veg but flip the switch and its like someone poked a hole in the tank.Ill be top dressing a lot before flip this next run and use bigger pots.

This thread reminds me of why the first cycle in a no-till is the most difficult to bring to finish. Living soil one-shot grows are like being stuck perpetually in cycle one. By the time your biology is clocking at full speed, mycorrhizal and other fungi relationships are finally well established, you've already harvested your plants. Then you remix, amend, or use new soil, and start all over again in another difficult cycle #1. I think everyone knows where I'm going with this. lol
