This appears to be good shit! I wanna try this out or maybe the cocoloco or both. Great mediums here. FFOF is fine but i think both of these look better on paper.

I was curious as to why they aint using lime or oyster shell but i look closer and its got more bark and coco then it does peat so the ph should stay in range always.

It's all I've used for a couple of years now. But I use the outdoor version since I always grow outdoors outside of this new tent project.

This has lime and oyster shells.

On paper, its does appear to be pretty good shit. I'm growing 5 plants in FF Happy Frog alongside the other 30 or so in CocoLoco so I'll be able to compare. I'm a few weeks in and everything so far is about the same in both mediums.

I've used that formula 420 on an outdoor plant and it did well. They sell Fox Farms at my local hardware store for ~$10/bag so I stick with it. Decided to mix it up when I saw the CocoLoco.

Over here the price per 1.5 cu is $12 for the recipe 420

Unfortunately with Fox farms soils I have gotten bugs and once there was a fish hook.

I gave up on it and once I found the recipe 420 I never needed to consider going back.

I wonder if this is true and coir actually holds more food ? Or are they just saying it contains more salts from the factory? Im not really sure.

WOW im paying 25 a bag for 1.5cuft of OF. :wall:

It's about that price here as well. The FF bags are 2.0cu so you get a little more bang for your buck. I'd have to drive 30 mins to the hydro store for anything else and I'm kinda lazy. Plus one run requires more bags than will fit in my car so I'd need multiple trips. So really the main reason I don't use anything else is laziness. :lol:

Salts should equal food. I don't intend to feed every watering so I may never run into that issue.

I get what you are saying but allow me to math this shit.

2.0 cu is 2.0 cu worth of space regardless of the amount they sell you at once. So if you were to buy say 6 2.0 cu bags they will take up basically the same space as 8 1.5 cu.

Not trying to troll or anything like that. Just putting it into perspective.

I just meant compared to the 1.5 cu bags of 420. For just over $10 I get 2 cu ft compared to $12 for 1.5 cu ft of 420.

im gonna check the local store for the 420 mix. The main ingredient is aged compost , so thats a major plus imo. Im sure it will be 25 a bag for that too.. wow.

My tap waters natural PH is 8.3+. Does that mean I definitely should use some ph down even though I'm growing?

Yea were going to have to have it shipped directly or go with a better soil. homemade is the only way to go but i aint got to it yet... 25 before tax for that trash.... 22 after "discount" :wall:
