Hi All,
I have been growing 3 plants that were sprouted from seed a little over 3 weeks ago, seeds dropped Jan. 9, 2021, and sprouted above ground on the 11th and 12th. I was in hopes of finding potential mother plants to take clones from. They were planted into a Rapid Rooters which were set in the pots they are in now which contains a coco coir mix that is composed of coco coir, perlite, earthworm castings, azomite, gypsum, Epsom salts, and Great White. The substrate only sat for about 4 days before I ended up getting too excited to wait any longer and dropped the seeds, so this could be part of my problem. Perhaps it didn't buffer long enough?
They started to show what looked like a nitrogen deficiency at about week 2 so I gave them some Mega Crop 2 part. The next day they were showing severe toxicity so I ended up flushing 3 gallons of pH adjusted water at an EC of 0.18 through their little 1/2 gallon pots. After that I have only been feeding them Botanicare Cal-Mag+ at an EC of 0.94, pH of 5.8-6.0. Runoff is coming out at an EC of 0.6 and a pH of 6.7.
The light being used is a single HLG QB96 Elite run off of a Meanwell HLG-185-54b dimmed down to 72 Watts hung 20" from the top of the plants. Checking with 2 separate lux meter apps on 2 separate phones, I am reading around 16,000 lux on the plant that is in the photos which is by a breeder that is frequent here on the forum, @Bad Dawg, his 3 Headed Dragon x Long Bottom Fighter. I am also growing Dazzleberry by Bodhi and Wilson!Zero by Oni Seeds. Earlier this week 3HDxLBF and Dazzleberry started showing what I can only guess is a calcium lockout on the only 2 leaves below the manifold. The super cropping to create the manifold was done earlier this week on the 8th, and they all seem to be handling the stress from that fine other than the lower leaves on those 2 plants.
Anybody have any idea what might be causing this?
