So when should i start using dr.earth dry amendments and areated teas . Its been two days since i transplanted into ocean forest so i know i got 3-4 weeks till i top dress with dr.earth right?

These are main questions, im trying to stick to top dressing and teas .
Hey buddy, id like to join in on the conversation here. I’m a very new organic grower and it sounds like that’s what you’re interested in. Well, I aced my first time with organics and am never turning back. To answer a few of your questions, I would need to know a couple things.
1.) are you in only FFOF?
2.) what dr earth amendments are you using?
3.) what kind of water are you using?
4.) what size pot did you transplant into?
these 3 questions are very important because it plays a huge role in the organic process.
I’m going to tell you about my experience so far and what I have learned.
first things first, FFOF is great to start in, other than starting in it’s a good base to transplant to. In order to get the full experience of organic gardening you’ll need more than just FFOF and dr earth amendments.
let’s start with the soil mix you should do.
the first pot I transplanted to is a 3g pot. I used FFOF as a base for my soil mix. I used about 1.5g of FFOF, I added 2 quarts of Malibu Compost, 2 quarts of Earth Worm Castings, 4 quarts of plain Perlite (nothing with slow release fertilizer like Miracle Gro). I also added about 4 tablespoons of Dr Earth 4-4-4 all purpose fertilizer.
so now that we have the soil mix out of the way, another important thing is water. I use strictly RO water, nothing else. RO water is pure water, doesn’t need any additives or anything. Using pure water with no chemicals or anything is VERY important with organics.
ok, let’s talk about the organic process lol. I know this is a lot of info, but it’s great to know for the future.
The way organic growing works is very different from using bottled nutrients. Organics is not only simple, but is very efficient. Organics is a beautiful thing if done right! So, for organics to work you need plenty of organic matter in your soil. That’s what the compost, worm castings and dr earth dry amendments is for. The RO water helps support the microbial life (bacteria) in your soil which will break down that organic matter and turn it to usable nutrients for the plant.
Microbes begin working as soon as you add water. Microbes break down organic matter and turn it to mineral form. These minerals are then attracted to colloids in your soil. These colloids then feed the root zone. This process is called cationic exchange.
it is important not to PH your water, this can not only kill your microbes, but make the soil PH different so it cannot support microbial life. Same with your water. RO water is important, if you can’t get RO water then use filtered water.
Teas
Teas are important, but not as important as you think. I gave my plant 1 compost tea in about 5 months. That’s all she needed. When making tea you’ll need a few things. Of course a bubble stone and bucket, but you’ll need all the organic matter we talked about. Compost, worm castings and dry amendments. I also picked up a bottle of Kellogg’s fish and kelp fertilizer with molasses. The fish and kelp is not only a great source of beneficial bacteria, but a good feed for the microbes.
teas are good because it helps add bacteria to the soil. It is not meant to be a feed for the plant in any way since it does not provide much organic matter. The tea is good for activating your soil! It adds millions of microbes to your soil and will cause a feeding frenzy that allows for quicker breakdown of organic matter and quicker nutrient uptake by your plant.
so. To answer your questions, compost teas are good. You just transplanted do a compost tea will be good. Don’t add too much Dr earth without the compost and worm castings, otherwise it can cook your plant.
This was my first time growing organic cannabis and lemme tell you, it was amazing. Not only did I have the fastest growth I’ve ever seen in my life, but one plant harvested 550g dry. If you have any further questions, feel free to message me or just reply!

I’m no expert, but I understand enough to have great results. And what the other guy said, epsom salt is a good foliar feed for sulfur and magnesium.
