Is it the green sheet rock thats made for bathrooms and kitchens?
Yeah, greenboard is the older rock we used to use in damp locations. There’s newer better stuff now. But is Overkill in a growroom imo if you put up the pandafilm. I’ve never had mold growing on sheetrock in any growroom i’ve ever built

I just shitrock them. Fire tape and then hang white/black poly as opposed to painting. From my experience white paint gets all fucked up and dirty from the overspray from spraying shit on the plants
Hell yeah 100feet of wall ina roll ...sometimes is fun to do work outside of work

You need to clean the stain first. Warm water, TSP( the cleaning product) bleach, and a drop of dish soap. Clean the stain then let it dry. If the stain is still there, I'd use a shellac based product like Bin. Otherwise it will bleed thru. I think the tsp will take care of your stain though. If the ceiling is in good shape, just pay the extra money and get a gallon of semi gloss paint from Sherwin Williams ( go with the Emerald line) They dont really make a bathroom paint like Ben Moore. They just recommend a higher sheen. I'd go with a primer, but it sounds like you dont want that. I'm a bit of a paint snob, but if you're going to cut corners, do yourself a favor and get a good quality paint.

If you dont want to use the fan, you need to dry that bathroom out as well as you can or youre always going to have mold. Especially in the winter. That's probably where/when it's showing up. If you can, after your shower crank the heat, and shut the door. The ceiling is staying constantly damp otherwise.

My bathroom ceiling is getting stains on it from humidity from taking a shower. What is a really good kind of paint that will keep these stains away??
Best paint for it hands down is Benjamin Moores "Aura Bath & Spa" but it's not cheap, actually pretty damn expensive.

I'm gonna go with the KILZ primer and do it quickly... It is really only over the shower stall part and do the rest of the bathroom quickly... I will then put a regular paint over it... Thanks all for the help.
