What's up everyone, So I browsed around the forum for a while to get information on how to go about setting up my first grow and figured I would make a profile and contribute. The Rundown:

Strain: Lemon Sour Diesel (LSD) wanted a nice sativa as it seems harder to come by vs indica dominate strain.
Grow Medium: Currently plan on using Happy Frog for germination/seedling and final transplant going into Ocean Forest.
Water: I'm currently watering when top inch is dry, water is tap (de-chlorinated) PH'd to ~6.8 with a small amount of molasses mixed in to feed the microbes in the soil.
Environment: Targeting 70-72 degrees and humidity in the high 50s to low 60s for seedlings. I plan on monitoring CO2 soon and implementing a DIY bioreactor for supplementing.
Tent: Spider Farmer 4x4
Light: Spider Farmer SF4000 and have a Mars Hydro TS 600 to add in for flower. I also will be adding in either a 150w HPS or a 100w Amazon blurpie as well for a total of 3 lights in flower targeting ~600watts of true power.
Air Circulation: AC Infinity T4 with 2 Amazon 7in fans.
Others: Tent is also equipped with a Humidifier and a heater since its in my garage which I keep at about 65 degrees.

Day 1 - 8
I began the grow by germinating 4 LSD seeds from ilovegrowingmarijuana.com using a 24 hour soak in a ball jar at the end of the soak the seeds had all sunk and were beginning to split open. The next day I prepared the cups which I filled with Fox Farms Happy Frog soil straight from the bag no amendments or mixing. Next I thoroughly watered the soil before planting and sewed the seeds about half an inch deep. I watered the with a spray bottle until some drops came out the bottom twice a day. I first put the pots in makeshift humidity dome using sandwich bags but decided against this opting to increase the humidity in the entire tent with the AC infinity fan. By day 4 all four seeds had germinated and broke ground so I switched to a watering when dry (top 1in) and began to incorporate the molasses. Day 6 saw two of the seedlings begin to become leggy so the light was lower from 24 to 18 in and turned up from 10% to 25%. I also began to incorporate a 8 degree~ cooler temperature inside the tent during the first two hours of lights on to encourage more horizontal growth on day 7. Day 8 (Today) the plants have seemed to stop stretching and are growing larger leaves. The two shorter plants were dry so I watered those and the leggy ones were about 75% to the point of where I water so I just gave them a light mist. The leggy plants also got pipe cleaners to help support them until there stems fatten up. The overnight temps got up to 78 and the humidity tanked this was mainly because of the vent fan is triggered off of high humidity so if the humidifier runs out of water (which it did) the ventilation fan doesn't run. Thankfully this was only for a couple of hours.

Thanks for reading! Questions and suggestions are always appreciated... (:IMG_4133.jpgIMG_4211.jpgIMG_4214.jpg

DAY 11 Update:

So between the holidays and my own lack of experience in growing my plants had a rough week. In trying to control the stretching I believe I may have light stressed them since they have developed red stems I moved the grow light up to 28in above the pots. Also watering with the molasses I PH'd the water before adding the molasses not after and have been watering with some relatively acidic stuff for soil it PH'd around 5.5. They are starting to grow there second set of leaves and all of them seem to still be growing at relatively steady pace so I'm optimistic. Next week I'm going to focus on just watering when dry and nursing them back to health.

They need more light and less water. You are WAY WAY WAY WAY over watering them. Do not give them any water for at lest 5 days.

Thanks for replying, Currently I water when the top inch is dry to touch and water until it just starts to drip out the bottom. What would you recommend? and I will turn the light up to 50% which should be about 220ish watts.

Fill a pot with dry dirt. When the pots the plants are in weight the same amount as the dry pot, its time to water.

DAY 30 UPDATE:
So last time I had some severe overwatering issues and almost lost the whole grow as the leaves were yellow and waterlogged and looked terrible. I however decided I would give it everything I could to turn the situation around. So basically what I did was repotted them into 1 gallon fabric pots when I did that I removed the soggy soil from the roots and sprinkled them with mykos and watered them with 40 grams of water with recharge. That was about a week ago and I can now confidently say they are alive and healthy and have began to grow vigorously again within the last 48 hours

DAY 47
Plants are overall doing great, I started LST’ing them I don’t really want to top as I already put them through enough stress at the the beginning of there lives and don’t want to stunt them again. The last issue I’m working out is getting my soil ph back in range. I learned the hard way cheap ph pens can really mess up a garden. I know there alittle behind for being as old as they are but I’m just glad there alive and healthy.

So just a update the original 4 plants are doing great. They are co-planted 2 to a seven gallon pot and one set is in a dry amended coco similar to mr.canuck. The coco plants are doing amazing I planted my smallest with my largest and I feel like when they figured out they were sharing a pot the runt really kicked into gear and put on some size. I’m not a botanist by any means but I have read a few articles that note that plants compete and communicate with each other. I also have a bag seed LSD going that’s a little over a month old and taking off as well and showing pistils so I’m excited for it being a girl. I really feel like I got a hang on the environment and playing with coco has given me a feel for the consistency I need in my soil and making sure I have enough pearlite. I had a small bug issue but got a hang on that with neem oil and Castile soap. But overall my current process that works with the Dry amended coco is watering+feeding every other day and I feed the substrate/plants with:

1 tbsp of Agrothrive 3-3-2 liquid organic fertilizer
1/2 tsp Real Growers recharge
1 tsp azos
2 tbsp molasses
ph’d with baking soda or citric acid in distilled water
All per 1 gallon of tap water
