Adding supplemental lighting during flowering

Hey guys, first post fussy grow. Have 8 autos in 4.5x2.5 tent. I know I may need to remove 2. Anyways, I have the mars sp3000. My question is should I add 2 mostly red(630/660) lights(says 100w not sure if that's actual) during flowering? I was going to use 2 clip goose necks on opposite corners. My main issue is my tent and light mars sp3000 are rectangular so I feel like I would need 2 if they'd even fit? Or should I try and hang them vertically?

In a 4 1/2 by 2 1/2 you want more like 300 TRUE watts. You should have just got the HLG 260 QB. You get what you pay for. Buy these smaller cheaper lights now, get a half decent harvest and than buy good lights later anyways so wasted money for no reason.

I think there's a misunderstanding. I have a mars hydro sp3000. It is a true 300 watt so it's better than that hlg. I'm talking about adding supplemental lighting during flowering(cheaply)

Depending on how far along you are it might make more since just to lower the amount of total plants. If you want to keep the 8 autos you'll want to add 150-250 more wants for best results.(I'm guessing here)

That light is pretty good for your tent, you just won't get the best results using it alone.

Been on the site for 2 days, have no clue how much lights you need that you want to supplement with cheap house leds that only 1 other NEW inexperienced grower evwn cared to talk aboit your clown assed setup. 3 months from now GUARANTEED i won't even see any clown ass grow from you. SP3000 is a commercial grade Samsung/Meanwell light.

It's an excellent grow light, imo you don't need to add anything but if you must.....

Have you considered DIY strips?
