How much nutrient to mix for single autoflower plant?

Hi everyone, I am a first time grower. I'm growing a single autoflowering plant in soil, in a space bucket. A lot of the info I read re: mixing nutrients in water are for people growing multiple plants. I've only got the single plant right now and I don't want give it too much. I am using Fox farm Grow Big and Big Bloom. At the moment my plant is just starting to stretch out it's second set of true leaves, which is when I think I should start thinking about adding some grow nutrient. I've been told to be very sparing re: nutrients with autoflowering plants so I don't want to over do it at all.

If I mix the nutrients per gallon according to the product instructions and I'm only watering one plant with this water will it be way too much for it? What do y'al recommend?

Thanks in advance :)

What is your medium? Also Fox Farm’s line of nutrients are super potent & auto flowers already don’t need nearly as much nutrients as photoperiods, so I would start out at 1/8 of recommended dose & work your way up from there293F0203-EE4E-420A-97D9-CB9162E58B75.jpeg

It looks like your soil comes pre amended. Auto flowers are very light feeders. You will not even have to start thinking about feeding anything until the third or fourth week probably longer. Also, you will not need grow big IMO. I would stick with just the big bloom and tiger bloom at an eighth strength once you start feeding :bigjoint:

You atleast want to give a root booster to your autos...you want those roots to grow as fast as you can, soil also isn't best coco or peat, something airy that has less resistance for the roots to pass

Do you have a recommendation re: a root booster?

I've been using promix root booster, I give it half strength for the first week and full for the second week..then move on to your normal feed...I use big bud and overdrive for flowering and end up with this 20210120_111202.jpg

I agree with waiting on the nutes. Buy a cheap pH tester and a ppm/EC meter. $30/both on Amazon.

Buy some root nutes (super thrive, or Photosynthesis O+). Get a thriving root ball.

Also, both your FF nutes have a fair amount of nitrogen. Stop using the hard N nutes close to flower, focus on potassium/Magnesium.

What you said for photo 100%, but autos have a short shelf life..once that seed cracks..its life is on the clock, my autos generally only veg for 3 weeks if you want bigger yeilds..then you gotta feed them..and thats also why i don't top em...some do..some don't I find with the breeder I use there isnt enough time un stress and re grow...I only do a little lst 20201208_210955.jpg20210118_111813.jpg20210117_173208.jpg

Makes sense. I personally don't use autos. I hate the lack of control. I'm prob not the best to give advice on 'em.
