Horse hoof clippings from a farrier/blacksmith are also made up of Keratin, similar to the like of hair and nails.
Ground down it is called ‘Hoof and Horn’ .

People used to collect the hair clippings from barbers to incorporate into there plots

Human hair the percentages are:

Carbon 51%

Hydrogen 21%

Nitrogen 17%

Oxygen 6%

Sulphur 5%

Quite a useful amount of nitrogen. In almost everlasting supply!

University of Mississippi has been conducting experiments on the use of hair as a organic fert:

“Hair can provide sufficient nutrients to provide similar yields to those obtained with commonly used fertilizers”

In their experiments lettuce grew equally as well with just the addition of hair using 50% of the available Nitrogen

Hair decomposes slowly in the soil and can take 5 to 6 years but the positive is it is supplying Nitrogen all this time.

The percentage in dog hair will vary between 10-15%

Well I've learned something new today haha, I didn't know any of that. I don't think I will start amending soil with dog hair though. :D my boy's name is Boss that's actually a very old pic of him. He was 2/3 yes old in that pic his now 11yrs old still the same boy but more grey. I've had him since he was 3 weeks 4 days old. I also have a girl called Choc she's now 12 stole her when she was 4 months old she was treated horribly by a horrible bitch so I had to rescue her from that life. This is the girl also an old pic lol. I don't seem to have up to date pics in this phone.

Haha! Yes I wouldn't suggest asking 4 ur dog hair from the groomer u may get strange looks.... Chances are there is some trace amounts in ur soils already - Boss has been amending ur topsoil all these years and u don't know :bigjoint:

He looks like a friendly old boy, I love dogs I always say dogs are the best people. About the hairs lol it can be quite shocking looking through the loupe at times. I reckon I've smoked a whole dog in hairs :bigjoint:

I'm glad to see my cat isn't the only feline involved in the canabis game. This is James. She is the head of my breeding department. We are constantly arguing about her next project. She loves sweet, purple, photogenic weed, with a less complex buzz and I like ugly, gross smelling bud, with a face melt high. I can't seem to talk any sense into her! She says next run we s1 this purple, peach/watermelon galato thing. I'm gonna try and sneak some Chem d hybrids in on her. Better to beg for forgiveness latter, then ask for permission before I figure.

Haha! I haven't met a breeder kitty b4. Where there is argument, there is effort! Sounds like some Yin & Yang going on - Can't knock the hustle.

Chem is one of my favorites of all time. I say this often.. I like the loose fluffy ones remind me more of the Dog Daze or the original 91.. Been searching for a long time.. Maybe now a black cat has crossed my path online, this means good luck & my next set will be the 1 :eyesmoke: :peace:
