Plug and play LED recommendations

Let me start by saying if you are here to suggest a DIY led project please do not post here.

I have read the sticky which has light suggestions that havent been updated since 2011.

I am looking for recommendations for an LED light to cover a 4x4 grow area during flower.

I am only interested in buying items that are pre-assembled.

Would like to spend in the 1000$ USD ball park.

I will once again recommend Budget LED Full Spectrum 500w Infinity Board and use 420mag for a 5% off your order. Just upgraded to it for my current grow from an HLG 500w QB from about 3 years ago, and yes, it comes fully assembled with dimmer included. My grow has been looking great so far, with better veg growth with the added uv and blue lighting for that. Can’t wait to see what the deep red and far red flowering switch will do when I get to that point of my grow. Michigan based, run by army vets and helpful customer service. Sent out on a Friday, paid import fee on that Saturday and received later that afternoon near Tor onto

There is a grow along posted here showing a 10% cannabinoid/terp increase over another popular brand light. There's a couple of threads around from @Grow Lights Australia. I'm on my first run with them, but impressed so far. There's a forum discount too.

I rock Timber Redwood VS's in my 4x4's, lots of power. However if I was in the market I would take a close look at the Timber Cypress, I am a Timber fan.

Timber use to come around these forums alot few years ago. Was actually first place i looked. Cypress says more about coverage area and the VS been out a couple year now kinda worried about investing in older tech. Thanks for the suggestions tho

Do you personally have any results on grams per watt ? Feel like ordering from AUS going to be expensive

No yet, but it will comfortably pull 2lbs. In the testing threads they were pulling closer to 3lbs multistrain with the old design (20% less power, less far red).

Shipping shouldn't be too bad. Hit them up for a quote, they have good customer service.

thats just my light with the veg lights on. Each of the 4 boards have a switch that will change that blue to far and deep red lighting for flowering with a 4.5x4.5f flowering coverage. Seen some amazing results from users on other boards I’m on with their lights in their tent.

Good to hear from you - we are still around. We try to only weigh in on threads where it is appropriate, given we are advertisers, we don't want to come off as used car salespeople

That said, I typically check the RIU boards daily and am happy to add in wherever appropriate. WIth respect to COBs being old tech, I must say I do disagree. COBs are actually the replacement technology for high bay HID style lighting like CMH and HPS and is still taking a foothold in the general lighting, as well as horticulturally specific applications. For what it is worth, mid power diode designs like our Cypress, Quantum boards, Fluence and others were the original precursors to COBs, albeit in specifically blue and red spectral output in most cases, but also by other leading tech innovators like NextLight using white Samsung LEDs early on in the game.

Right now the Vero 29 V7 represents one of the most efficient high wattage output COB designs available on the market, and specifically performs well at higher wattages due to the higher drive voltage. Using less current makes these COBs naturally more efficient than others, approaching efficiency measurements close to those of mid power diode style lights.

I use the HLG 600 Rspec in a 4x4 and the plants love it. I have also heard great things about Timber lights but have not used them. All those who have say they are fantastic. This pic is from Jan 1st, flipped to 12/12 Dec 1 so 4 weeks from flip. I see someone tagged in BK78, he can guide you through the world of Meijiu lights, he does great things with them.

Hope I'm not too late to the party. We have a second test grow underway at the moment with the new boards vs old. The first grow produced 1410g inside a 4.5'x4.5' under 4x High Red + UVB Reptile bulbs (left) and 4x High LIght 420 boards, both connected to 480 drivers pulling about 470W each. So that's 1.5gpw, which is a bit below average for this grower because he was absent for most of the grow, which was automated. Our customers typically report 1.6-1.8gpw. The new lights in this case outyielded the originals by 18% and also finished 5 days earlier, which we attribute to the extra Far Red in the new spectrum (almost 10%).

Yes, shipping from Australia doesn't do us any favours, but we can work with you if you are keen. We can certainly deliver a 4x4 solution for well under US$1k delivered.

HLG, I don't know about the china lights might be able to save a few bucks if u cut out hlg, but u will now get the 3year warranty they give on plug and play lights. I have 6- v2 288 and on 550 v2 rspec. Thy destroy my old 1000 w HID light.
