hope all is well with you all.

I was wondering if anyone uses 4 footers? and are they capable of growing plants 3-4 feet high? or are fluoros mainly good for developmental stages?

Someone said CFLS? but i'm not sure what the benefit of that would be aside the fact that it's smaller?

feedback please?

thanks

I actually just saw a thing by a guy called 'mr.green' who uses
4ft's and he had some badass plants. I dont know 'personally'.

I veg under 6-40W 4' fluros and it works fine, up to about 2 feet tall.

I've no cfl experience (too much heat, too many cords, etc) but suspect adding some to the above, on the lower growth, would allow for taller 4' tube use.

that's exactly why I'm using 4ft's, and I hope he wasn't being farfetched.

But it doesn't seem to be putting out a lot of power.

I use both but mainly the 4ft lights directly overhead. If the 4ft lights are all you have, tie the plants down so that they grow completely horizontally under the fixture to make the best use of the light. I have reaped a good once and a half per small plant under flourescents, not too dense but good

I have a 4 foot shoplight holding 4 40 watt tubes and another fixture holding 2 40 GE plant aquarium bulbs. I started with just the 4 footers and added another 354 watts with bulbs. Most are 26 watt along with 2 42 watt the more watts the better. Go with both for best results
