Hispanic is not a race.

No way to tell but out in public, one could say she's white. Certainly not Black or Native American. It's not really a matter of heritage but how people view her. She's white. Also Karen.
So what race are Mexicans? Are they Mexicans?

And if I was born in South America I would be a Hispanic?

Talk about confusing people with politically correct shit.

If you're white, you're white no matter what country you're born in. If your black you're black no matter where you were born. So WTF is the deal with Hispanics?

You seriously have no problem with the news putting out the name and picture of a 22 year old who basically just made an ass of herself?
Yes. It serves a purpose. Maybe, just maybe, it will teach some and make others aware of their free choice to demean themselves. Social media has consequences.

Help me out a little bit please. Did she say anything racist or is the mere fact that she accused a young black man of stealing her phone sufficient to call her a racist? Do we know for a fact that she is a racist and not just some debag little split tail.

she's 22 years old....old enough to vote, drink, & buy ammo.....she not a child. old enough to stand accountable...
Sure, but regardless of age one shouldn’t be accused on a national stage of something they did t do. Can anybody prove she racially profiled this kid? Or the father said so and that’s all the proof anybody needs? And 22 is a kid these days, not nearly as mature as they used to be. Same age as my oldest. An age when they still make stupid mistakes. She was arrested twice this year for oui and public intoxication, obviously has a problem, I just don’t see it as a racial thing.

How? If you can give me an answer other than the kid was black I’ll change my opinion. If you can’t then you guys are not decent moral people who care about right and wrong.
She voted for Trump is 1 reason. Her demonic looking eyes is another reason. It'll come out you will see. Probably not her fault I guess. She was raised by racist Bitch was acting like Hitlers goons chasing jews after they walked away wanted nothing to do with those fucks. Just look into her eyes.

I really would like to know why this incident is racist? I'm not saying that race had nothing to do with it but who said what. What leads us to believe that this interaction was due to race and not due to some sweet little d bag acting like a moron.

What I see are a bunch of abused citizens fighting over scraps. It’s just so much easier right now to point fingers and demonize everybody because people are abused and scared and thankful it’s not them. Anybody who truly believes that young woman deserves this kind of fame is beyond my realm of understanding. You’re 1000% of the cancel culture and I just feel sad for you. Like abused pit bulls. Republicans are so far gone that in my opinion they have lost the script. But make no mistakes about it, America as a whole has lost the script. Destroying a young child’s life over some petty shit. Wow. You reap what you sow. I hope none of your children ever end up doing something stupid when they’re probably drunk.

We don’t. Just the fact that the kid was black. I want to know if they had the same case or some other reason she made that conclusion, or was she high, drunk etc. racial profiling is not about this. Racial profiling is when you pick enough black people as suspects because you believe the odds are good you’ll catch them in a crime. Racism and statistics. In my country it’s legal for cops to use racial profiling. This is not like some middle aged white woman from the suburbs. This is a minority young woman from California. Till somebody can say that she passed over 5 white people close to her and jumped to the black kid I don’t see it. Any interracial crime is now a hate crime. It’s got to be.

Of all the things in the world that are going on, why did you fixate on this? I mean, the kind of thing that happened to that man and his kid is all too common for Black people. Not so for me. Me and mine, we have never been singled out in a crowd and accused of stealing. That the hotel management sided with SoHo Karen, also for no good reason, hits a nerve. This has happened before, will happen again and we have the right to make up our minds using the information and in context of past experience.

The reality of today is, all that situation needed was a racist cop to be in the area and at least one of them would be dead. Fortunately only a racist hotel manager was around.

After re-reading your post, I suggest you take up meditation and de-stress.

Yeah, it’s horrible. Not sure it’s about this. But you’re proving my point. Time to call me a racist.
Nobody has called you racist. Why should we?

At this moment I think she is a victim yes. All I see is some young stupid kid panicking when she realizes she lost her phone and believing that somebody in that lobby took it. I don't see what she is accused of and what she is being tried for in the court of public opinion. Reminds me of that kid who was making fun of the Indian earlier this year. Another stupid kid who was accused of doing something that he wasn't. Made a great story, the media made shit loads of money off of it, but just wasn't true.
Why are you making it about her racism in blaming the black kid and not the racism of allowing a black guest to be assaulted as they 'questioned' him about some random crazy person's blame.

Social media is the media. It sucks but nobody who does shit like this is immune to the amplification. But maybe that is a good thing to stop people from being so entitled in blaming others.

That kid and the rest of his overprivelaged jackass schoolmates were being dicks the entire day, and were in that video as well. He wasn't accused of doing something he wasn't if you mean the 'news' media.

But like I said before 'media' is bullshit. Sure some troll can say whatever they want anytime that they want, it doesn't mean anything, and just saying 'the media' like it is the news stations that are out of line is not the case.

Because I am not sure they were the "victims" of a racial injustice. And because he has a lot more power to use his celebrity, which they have done to go after this girl. Why can't this just be about a crazy chick who accused the closet person to stealing her phone? I had some crazy white woman outside of a store accuse me of going 120 mph in a 35 zone, said she had me on tape and was going to report me to police. I didn't think it was because of my race, just thought she was crazy. In this time of heightened anxiety over race I think they did her wrong. She truly just looks like an idiot to me. If they father and son were white I have a feeling that the same thing would have gone down.
Maybe, but I bet the hotel would have been a lot quicker to stop their white guests from being assaulted by some Mexican woman.

You kind of ignored that part of what I said earlier. I know you said that you would retrain your staff if that occurred, but you stopped there.

You don't see the racism in the hotel's reaction?

She is light skinned enough to be excepted as white, but that doesn't mean that she won't have laughed off every racist insult thrown her way growing up. Nor will it stop her from experiencing it when people look at her name in print (job applications for example).

At this point I would point out that defining the latinos has been so politicized to trick people into thinking they are white that it is pretty confusing even knowing how to tick the boxes the last couple years.
