Telling sex of a plant by smell?

So i know usually to tell if a plant is male or female you need to wait till about 4 weeks or whatever but theirs one of my plants it’s about 2 weeks old maybe a lil more but it has the smell of like a mature flower it’s not strong but you can definitely smell it. could that mean it’s female or not mean anything at all?
I’m just curious i’ve never seen anything about it online so i don’t know what to make of it. also i am a newbie this is my first attempt at growing
it’s only one plant out of 7 that smells, so far at least, their all regular seeds.

So they both have their own scents. If you grow a strain consistently you can become familiar with the smell of each sex of that strain. Currently I have had the same 2 strains for over a year and I can tell sex by the smell of the defoliated leaves. I don't have the balls to chop based on smell alone but I am basically averaging %100 success at this point.

When do they usually start producing a smell? bc mine are only like 2 weeks old. seems kinda early to me but i’m completely new to this.

I smelled mine at about 10 days. If they are in a small enough enclosed space you will notice it early.

I’ve had seedlings that smelled.
You have to wait for sexual maturity, at which time phyllotaxy (how leaves grow) goes from opposed (2 across) to alternating (right left repeat).
Primordia = preflowers start to show.
Those are your reliable tell.

Being that you're new to this I'd say this is low on the list of things to learn. I really only just happened to notice over the years that could at times pickup on different nuances. I've also been known to hear the tv when there is no sound input so I might just be fucking strange lol.
