I had mine on straps as well, went on holidays while my son tended my tent. Came home to find the vent had come off and the heat cooked my plant. Sadly my son didn't know any better so didn't even notice the temp issue. Foxtails everywhere and just ruined the plant. Its definitely a better safe than sorry thing.
Damn man that sucks. I'm here to learn from other people's experiences so I'll definitely add screws if its like that.
Yeah, good plan. My exaust was used to cool the 1000 watt HPS so when it came off it became an oven I there. It foxtailed so bad I didn't get one solid bud but did get just over a pound of foxtailed bud. Was a great yield for 1 plant but still pissed me off. I just jarred it all and will be turning the whole thing into rosin. It was very disappointing. First thing I did was drive some screws through it so it would not happen again.
Yeah it hurts to hear peoples stories of it happening but it happens far to often, i knew someone would be quick to chime in.

It is pretty covered in trichomes so will make decent rosin anyway. I switched it to an HLG 600 with uv bar after that mess. The only real good part about that failure is helping others not have the same issue so I am glad you brought it up.

Hi do you know if I could use a rhino carbon filter with the ac infinity?
. Its all 6" I don't know if there is a right way or wrong way I just stuck it together the way I thought it should go. I'll re-do and secure it a bit better when I finish with this grow. But everything seems to work well. I dropped the filter and dented the flange a little when putting it together. Had to use duct tape on the filter flange to seal it good but would have used duct tape anyway.

4 inch is 4 inch. The only reason I didn't order the AC Infinity Filter was the reviews which were not that good on Amazon. iGrowtech seemed to have the best reviews so I bought it. 6" is 6" in my case unless we bring the ole lady in on the discussion

Call me crazy...but I have tried the Canlite filters, the ac and a few others. I think when new they all perform similarly. At 2 or 3x the price, I don't think it is worth it to buy besides ac (for my ac). Changing the prefilter keeps them running fast...buying a new one every 6 or 9 months is a better choice for carbon over buying better ones imo. I have used various carbon and hepa filters for 20 years...new carbon cant really be improved upon. Except with a 2nd one lol.
I don't know about the cheaper temp/humidity control but the 67 controller does have a minimum fan speed setting. I was pleasantly surprised that my T4 came with the 67 so I asked AC about it, they are transitioning to the 67.
