They said I was looking normal on my last thread...but I don't know now looks like I am having problems what do you guys say this is my 5th week flowering ak47 expected harvest is in early december will they survive?

I think I might have ph problems....when phing your nutes how much ph up are you guys using I feel like I am using alot I use advanced nutes iguana juice bloom, carboload, bigbud and have to add about 20 drops to stabalize the ph per gallon using the ph color test not digital

well what is your ph? looks like you have some lock out or deficiency issues going on. 5 weeks in flower you want some yellowing of the fan leaves but the curleed tips and spotted rust are more indicitve of either MG or K deficiency.

anyone else have any ideas??? should feeding them with this help fix???
I just got some advanced nutrients revive would this be a good thing to get them back on the right track??

Also will being stressed like this cause a longer flowering period or not??

Hi BigB,

I have had a similar issue, you can see if you check out my journals.
In my opinion I would say it is an over dose of nutes.
That can be caused by improper PH levels or just to high ppms of nutes.

Its true the leaves yellow towards the end of flowering and that is natural but you would see more conistant pattern to the yellowing. also you wouldnt have those rust colored spots.

What I would do is cut to half strength nutes and PH to 5.7 try that for a week and watch the new growth. (leaves closer to the top of the plant) If it is ok then I would cut off the damaged leaves and go back to full strength maintaining the proper PH. My understanding is the lower fan leaves promote stock growth. Not bud growth.

I know you can not get the PH to exactly 5.7 so just look for a gasoline color kinda yellowish orange. not yellowish green.
Just be sure to flush them well in the end. I would flush for two weeks.

You dont want your weed harsh to smoke and smelling like hay.

should I flush cuz it seems they are worsening still.
This is how the leaves start any ideas??? too much lime in my soil maybe???
i dunno nute burn???
If that flushing would be the right think to do right???

some of my white pistils are starting to brown now. Is this cause from the damage done to my plant or is it about the right time to see them browning. I started flowering october 3 and it says 60 days for these to reach full maturity. I am just worried cuz I see the new growth browning...what do you guys say? when I checked my runoff the other day it was fine is it just my nute mix is too strong maybe? I am using iguana juice bloom and big bud at the same time at about 1/2 strength is this too strong??? I also add 2 shot glasses full of sweet leaf for 5 gals of water.

i was thinking anyway I would only have 1 more week of nutes before i flush and I am to chop em down, so they should survive for the next 3 weeks wouldn't you think??? I think I will keep doing what I am doing and just correct next grow...I am pretty sure i have just been messing with the ph levels too much...

Looks to me like your plants buds are consuming their own leaves.
Why are you using the nutes at half dose and not at a proper dose?
Try not to confuse this with nute burn.
Nute burn starts of with brown tips then turns into solid hard brown leaves.:leaf:

Ill repeat the question smokeybandit22 posed. What is the pH of the nutes you are feeding them?

Yes, most important piece of info would be what is the ph of the water you are putting in and what is the ph of the runoff water coming out. That will tell you a lot.

both say that they are fine 6.5-6.8 I feel like I may have added to much dolomite lime into my soil could this cause the problem??

Smokey is right on with your issue. Calcium is another element can be locked out if your ph is not sittin right at 7.0.

There is no way to OD your soil with dolomite lime. This ingrediant has the perfect ph 7.0. Advanced Nutrients are usually mixed to maintain your nutrient solution at a ph of 7.0. Cal and mag are 2 elements that are used by the plant instantly so they are not very mobile and do not store in the tissues of the plant like nitrogen does. Calcium and magnesium are often needed to suppliment those to the plants and keep the elements available during their entire life cycle. Some feeding systems do not carry enough cal and mag to do the trick. Good luck. Try Cal-Mag by Botanicare

How much dolomite lime did you add to the soil? It's kind of hard to add too much, if you mix it in well. If you followed the instructions you should be fine. I had the same problem with one of my plants and it survived all the way through flowering and it even yielded 8 oz. of primo sticky ass tops, the best tops out of them all.:blsmoke: Do yourself a favor, if you don't already have a book on growing, buy one..... or two, I have three books and each one is worth it's weight in resin glands! Buy a digital PH meter as well..... as soon as you can, it's also very useful, I had trouble with the test strip type of PH metering and it was a bitch to match up the different colors for me. Hope your plants pull through and give you some nice buds.

Looks like a nutes deficiency, maybe you should have waited until the 6th week b4 cutting down the nutes to 1/2 doses, ah well you live and learn, at least there in the 5th week and your whole crop didnt go to a complete waste.
