Is wax less harsh if you use cured weed?

I just invested in a heat press and was wondering if I should dry and cure my weed as I normally would or if it is just adding steps that I don't need. In the past I have hit some pens that have been harsh and thought that maybe it was because the bud were not cured before pressed. What are your experiences?

Pressing wet or fresh flower will have a lot of water in it

Dosent need to be 60 day cured,but not fresh

My suggestion is to play with it , try some fresh, cured, and in-between

I have yet to experience any harshness whether fresh cut or cured. Just a difference in flavor in the end. Cured being preferred.

The difference in pens is likely the additives. I would dry your weed so you dont end up with a watery mess but I would go through months of curing. That said I would have to experiment.

Cut your wax at home. Commercial vape juice could be anything. And AVOID vitamin E. It is still prevalent.

I just bought a small press for personal and am using a wax liquidizer, stuff is amazing. It says Does not contain nicotine, cannabis, VG, or vitamin E. I have not taken any pics but this is the press I went with. I got it for $300CAD and the guy delivered it to my house. I have been happy with it, will do about 1/8 at a time. Nowhere near as powerful as most peoples but for my personal use it works well.

They have a great box with silicone containers and tools for like $40, not really needed,but it's a great addition to the kit

Bags for flower or kief are different, but about $15-20 for 100

I just use Parchment Paper, I don't bother with bags.

I use a bottle tech method if I use bags except with kief, then I use them nirmaly, and agree, bags arnt needed

The longer you wait after harvest to press your flowers the darker your oil will be. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, but makes it less marketable the darker it is. IMO, best to press shortly after it is dried and then cure the rosin instead, if you want....I dont notice much difference if it is cured or not.

Rosin in pens sucks for the most part...they are convenient and discreet but I have never had one that tasted as good as just taking a straight dab of it.
